Broco Torch Test | National Geographic

to put this torch to the test we picked
out the thickest piece of metal we could
find the shovel of an excavator cutting
a bucket to shank
can be pretty tough because that’s
typically at a store manganese type
material which is usually slower and
harder to cut with the gas court if the
Bronco torch can’t make it through four
inches of hardened steel it doesn’t
stand a chance in the showdown
the steel turns into molten metal at
2,750 degrees but the Broco torch burns
nearly four times hotter and check it
out Tom’s doing this while wearing a
short sleeve shirt we’re able to go
through that thick section relatively
easily it’s such a high temperature that
being produced because the alloys in the
rod are actually on fire it almost looks
like lava flowing off the part that
we’re working on I’m not worried how are
you feeling I’m feeling really good if
they throw a good hard target at us
that’s what we’re really gonna shine I
think you guys will turn this challenge
into your own personal grill we’re gonna
win the showdown because the Broco torch
is an awesome tool and it has proven
itself over 30 years to be able to do
just about anything
