this is one of nature’s most
extraordinary events a school of
mackerel has formed what’s known as a
bait ball this weapon of mass
distraction should look like one immense
scary Leviathan to predators
unfortunately for the mackerel bluefin
tuna are not intimidated the tuna see
this as an opportunity to gorge
themselves the mighty massive mackerel
soon attracts other hunters like
dolphins who pack the mackerel tighter
with towers of air bubbles
the pulsing mask can even be seen by
seabirds like these shearwaters
it doesn’t take long before the bait
ball is decimated
