2014 Expedition Granted Finalist: Save Rhinos From Extinction | National Geographic

last year I volunteered in South Africa
at a wildlife rehabilitation and
conservation I assisted in the care of
African animals and I grew a particular
attachment to the Rhinos while there I
learned a lot about the Rhino plate for
survival against poaching the Rhinos I
cared for we’re a direct result of
poaching their mothers were slaughtered
for their horns and the babies without a
horn were left behind we are all
connected every plant animal and human
this connection is what creates the
human experience and propels cultures
with the help of National Geographic I
want to change a culture I want to
change how people think specifically I
want to change how Asian cultures view
rhino horn on my expedition I would
travel an interview conservationist
scientists Park Rangers volunteers
convicted poachers and most importantly
people who purchase rhino horn it’s
supply and demand if there wasn’t a need
to purchase rhino horn then there would
be no poaching there would be no
endangered there would be no extinct my
