nothing powerful this morning I want to

there is nothing as powerful as a
changed mind you can change your hair
your clothing your address your spouse
your church your residence but if you
don’t change your mind the same
experience will perpetuate itself over
and over again because everything
outwardly changed but nothing inwardly
changed there is nothing as powerful as
a changed man Hebrews 12:11 now no
chastening for the present seemeth to be
joyous but Grievous nevertheless
afterward it yieldeth the peaceable
fruit of righteousness unto them which
are exercised thereby wherefore lift up
the hands which hang down and the feeble
knees and make straight paths for your
feet unless that which is lame return
out of the way
but let it rather be healed healed
follow peace with all men and holiness
without which no man shall see the Lord
looking diligently lest any man fail of
the grace of God lest any root of
bitterness springing up trouble you and
thereby many be defiled let there be any
fornicator or profane person as Esau
who for one morsel of meat sold his
birthright for you know that how that
afterward when he would have inherited
the blessing he was rejected for he
found no place of repentance though he
sought it carefully with tears oh my god

here the writer of Hebrews takes on the
task of telling us that we are being
parented that we are being parented by a
that he applies the rod of Correction to
the seat of judgment not physically not
visually not not outwardly but there are
things when you are he is that if you do
them there will be repercussions

tell you to watch out for bitterness if

things that could make you bitter no
need and right in the scripture about

is warning you that life will tempt you
to become bitter aids will make you
bitter because during age you collect
enough experiences to become cynical
till after a while you don’t expect
anything good to happen because you’ve
been through so many bad things that if
anybody comes knocking at your door
you’re predisposed to think it’s
something evil you have to be careful as
you become bitter either your troubles
so you have to always watch your
attitude you have to look at what’s
growing up in your heart look at look at
not what you see it because you’ve been
taught to be the light look at what you
were thinking
why do you really have that attitude
against that person why why did why do
you why does your mood change every time
they come in the room what’s going on
with you
that you’ve sent that note or pass that
message and Christians have real unique
ways of talking about you we don’t just
exactly talk about you
why do you need to do that what are the
person as big as you need to act so
small how could you allow something so
silly to spoil the entire warehouse of
giftings to allow to be contaminated by
that small thing that you won’t get over

because they don’t see it

15 50 years old still acting like you’re
21 it’s gonna be tough that’s why the

have one chance to dance before you got
home yeah annoying it and filled to the
brim with fornication
nobody can trust anybody around you
somebody has to put a beeper on you and
watch you at all times because your
flesh is just completely out of control
blinding decisions you miss good
opportunities walk away from them
because you didn’t see any prey you
could attack then you take dumb
opportunities for silly reasons because
your flesh is driving and making
decisions that your head has got to live
with sad memories of lost opportunities
because you’ve never learned how to

there are three areas that have to be
budgeted in your life you have to budget
and manage power if you’re not careful
power is so intoxicating that it will
totally corrupt you the more influence
you have and how you use it can be
debilitating you have to budget how you
use the power that you have
stop asking God for more influence if
you’re miss managing the influence that
you have manipulating the influence that
you have moving people up or down for
bad or wrong reasons with the influence
that you have that has to be budgeted or
you’re going to lose the power money has
to be budgeted I don’t care how much you
have a bit anytime you disregard budgets
and mismanage money you’ll end up broke
has to be budget it have to be managed
when you budget something you manage on
the basis of priority that you can’t use
it but you’re selective about how you
use it
power isn’t bad money isn’t bad if it’s
budgeting if it’s managed and the other
thing you have to manage this sex same
way I lost you same way you have to
budget I lost half most of you on the
budget to the money the rest of the
three people I had left now I’m gonna

Abraham should have fallen to Esau with

influence with God all of that was to be
gained but he saw lost it all because he
was hungry he’d been out hunting all day
and he was hungry and he came back and
and his brother Jacob had a bowl of
super a bowl of porridge and because he
was hungry Jacob made a deal with Esau
he kind of I was gonna say tricked him
but I think we gave Jacob too much

but I am amazed at the people where
where tears are no indication of any
interchange at all they can they can cry
and be like does it amaze anybody other
than me they just each all shot a change
of mind
with many tears and found it not
Metanoia means a change of mind but by
pivoting direction a change of mind that
is so strong that you pivot direction it
is not a fanciful ideology it is not a
mere notion of possibility it is the
extreme change of mind that becomes so
radical than it affects behavior you
will not have to do this often you will
not have to do this often this is not
the daily stuff you do what I’ve done
anything that you know these are those
big directional changes where you say
I’m going in the wrong way and I’m gonna
have to flip the whole thing around or
I’m gonna lose my future over a bowl of
soup

go on a computer they have on a computer
what they call default settings so
whether you’re in microwave soft or
whatever it is what a program that is or
any any kind of program it has a default
the default sets in the computer some
principles and ideas to which the
computer is committed it does not mean
that you can’t function outside of the
default it just means that even if you
deviate from the default the computer
will automatically take you back to
default settings and if you don’t want
it to do that it’s not it’s more than
changing the part you have to change the

because the moment you go out and come
back in again it will come back up back
to default this is how most people live
their lives because their default hasn’t
changed their situation hasn’t changed
so so when they’re in church change when
they’re in church they can get this
going when when when they’re around
certain people they can get this going
but when when you sing certain songs
they can get that going when you shout
and leap you can get that going but when
you go back home you go back to default
so you’re going back to default over and
over again and certain when you get
around certain people you change and you
want to hang around them because as long
as you around them you feel peace or you
feel nice or you feel tired or you feel
spiritual if you feel holy that’s not
the problem
the problem is when you go back to
yourself you’re stuck in a same pattern
that you were before and you can’t
figure out how to break it huh you’ve
cried about it but you speak going back
you shouted about it but you speak going
back you you’ve even prayed about it but
you keep going back and you can’t figure
out how somebody who cried for it and
shouted for it and say about it started
going to church on Sunday and why does
this
– you keep happening to me I don’t know
whose prayer I’m breaking into but I’m
breaking into somebody’s prayer saying
Lord why do I keep going through the
same things over and over again I go to
church now at times now I shout now I’ll
leave now and the Lord it’s no problem
with your sentence the problem is with
your default until you change your
default you will always go back to being
who you were before because you have
never changed your mind you change your
friends you change your address you
change the phone number you change the
songs you see you change everything else
but you didn’t change your mind there is
nothing as powerful as a changed man a

abundantly above all that you may ask or
thing faith to stand up say don’t you
know the Lord didn’t bring you this far
to leave you faithless stand up and say
wait a minute girl you better than this
faith and stand up say man don’t you
know God brought you through two months
for you to give up here and die it’s not
that we don’t get depressed it’s not
that we don’t get discouraged this year
we may fall in it but we take wallowing
the battleground between God and the
enemy between right and wrong between
successful struggle between destiny or
that which is derogatory is fighting for
your mind because in your mind are your
default settings as a man thinketh in
his heart so is he
if you don’t change it in your head you
can’t change it in your life I don’t
care whether it’s losing weight I don’t
care whether it’s going out for job I
don’t care whether it’s being faithful
and committed I don’t care whether it’s
being honest and true it has to change
up here or it won’t change anywhere else
there is nothing as powerful as a
changed man I used on in that

woman about her size married to a guy
about my size he used to beat her he
used to beat her all behind my house I
remember finding her hiding in a
woodpile method shivering in the snow in
the hills of West Virginia where he had
beat her out of her house and a little
bit of woman ran her out of her house

been planted in you that have been

you willing to allow a new truth to be
planted in place of past experiences and

or ignorance or evil or fear not because

because he was unsuccessful and changing

that is when I learned that about being
tickle I learned the principle that
anything you focus your mind on you can
change you don’t like the way your life
is going you’re the only one who can
change it Esau lost his inheritance his
future he was set to be in the lineage
of greatness he died in the line up of
mediocrity not because he wasn’t
predestined to succeed he died like a
fool because he refused to change his
mind you don’t have to be like a holic
you don’t have to be a failure you don’t
have to be anything you don’t want to be
if you ever decide to change your mind
cry all night it won’t change nothing
sleep with the Bible on your forehead it
there’s something in your life you don’t
like if there’s a set of habits that are
being perpetuated in your life you want
to change then you have the power within
yourself
to shave your mind and God says if you
repent if you repent I will open up the
windows of heaven and pour you out a
blessing you won’t have room enough to
receive or you will die shouting about
something that you’ve never received

the altar for us is the place where we
change default settings develop a new
normal attack old patterns break old
systems demand a change I’m going to do
this differently I normally make an
altar call for sinners whatever that
means but I know that there are saints
with sinners problems I know that there
are people in this room that that are
trapped they’re stuck on stupid stuff on
broke to stuck on tricking and scamming
they’re stuck on desperation they’re
stuck on bad choices it’s stuck and lust
and stop the stuff controlled they want
if they really want to change
they’ve cried about it they felt guilty
but today something went off in your
head that if you make a decision or what
the Bible calls repent change your
direction
Metanoia I changed the direction of the
way I think then I can change the
direction of the way I live with heads
bowed and eyes closed I want you to
understand something this type of change
is only achievable where there is
conviction of the Holy Spirit conviction
of the Holy Spirit is the nagging voice
of the Holy Ghost that says you’re going
the wrong way that conviction of the
Holy Spirit is what gives you the power
to be able to change
I don’t want anybody to come to the
altar that the Holy Spirit is not
convicting this message is for you this
is your destiny moment to change your
default settings and I don’t care if you
got to come out of the choir I don’t
care if you got to come out of the
pastoral team I don’t care if you’re in
the praise team I don’t care if we don’t
have anybody play on the drums I don’t
care if the saxophonist has to drop the
saxophone this is a moment to change
your settings I want you to come to this
altar and agree with me there is nothing
nothing is powerful as a change man
we’re not gonna sing anything right now
we’re not worried about none of that
the only thing we care about it’s people
who have been stuck in a state and you
need to make the decision to change your
direction this is coming more from you
than it’s coming from me this is coming
from down in your belly and in your
spirit I will not die in the wilderness
of my disparity there is nothing as
powerful as a changed man I don’t care

old I don’t care what position you’re in
