I don’t know that I have in recent years
got as much response from a message as I
did from last week people say that
touched them and moved them and
ministered to them and challenge them to
be more just they didn’t realize that it
is an abomination to have two different
scales one in which you weigh me and
another in which you weigh yourself I
usually figuratively but but one in
which you weigh the people around you
and another that you you see um and I’m
telling you I’ve been thinking about
values because that’s what we were
talking about values what do you value
and how do you evaluate evaluate
circumstances and situations how you
evaluate a circumstances situation has
something to do with your values has
something to do with your scales and I
want to continue down that path this
Sunday it said okay so that was just my
attempt to give you to those of you that
weren’t there didn’t hear the message or
just logged on the broadcast in context
in which you can think with me as we
grapple with the complexities of this
subject this week I’m going to weigh it
out part two okay and and and I want to
talk about this notion I want you to
think about this that value is
determined by sacrifice value is
determined
by sacrifice where there is no sacrifice
there is no value if you have something
for sale and I will give you nothing for
it it has no value because the value is
dependent upon how what somebody will
give up to get it ok it’s not always
dependent upon what you think about it
the over inflation of the ideology that
says self-esteem determines everything
is not true because sometimes people
have self-esteem beyond their value
let me see there’s a friend of mine back
in West we didn’t used to say I wish I
could buy you for what you’re worth and
selling you for what you think you’re
worth I could live the rest of my life
off the difference it’s just it’s a slap
in the face you figured out like some
people think they bring so much to the
table but they’re the only ones that
think so and an overinflated ego is just
as bad as low self-esteem so if we think
that value is determined by sacrifice if
we’re going to try that thought in text
let’s try it with first Peter 1:18
and that’s gonna be the subscribe where
we’re going to what are you watching

want you to go to first Peter 1:18 and
this is the premise with which we will
start our discussion today that value is
determined by sacrifice okay
first Peter 1:18 says for as much as you
know that he were not redeemed with
corruptible things okay
when when God got ready to ascribe value
to what he would be willing to give up
for you
he didn’t reach in the earth and get
silver or gold for as much as you know
that he were not redeemed redeemed
redeemed let me use that were redeemed
theologically we hear the word I’ve been
with you I’ve been redeemed our Liberty
that washed in the blood of the Lamb and
it and it takes on a field object or
connotation but originally the word
redeemed didn’t have anything to do with
theology it had to do with purchase like
you take something and hock a watch
and to redeem it is to get it out of
hock
i redeemed it and what what Jesus did
for us is that Satan put us in hock he
pawned us into a state of sin and Jesus
went down to the pawn shop

explained in a theological discussion
Jesus went down to the pawn shop and
read dinged us so we we were held in
pond in sin and there was a price of
value placed on us it wasn’t gold or
silver not corruptible things from your
vain conversation conveying
conversations is a King James Version of
talking about empty lifestyle vain
meaning empty
conversations poorly translated really
means lifestyle he redeemed you from
your empty life and received by
tradition he was able to deliver you and
set you free from your father’s from
your bondage from your history and he
did it with the blood of Jesus Christ he
redeemed you with blood when he’ll said

how much would you give for it God sent
Jesus and died on the cross and said
that’s how much I’ll pay so how can you
be saved and question your value
when when God gave His only begotten Son
as an expression of how far out he would
go to get you back so you’re not
important because you can sing I’m not
important because I can preach he didn’t
redeem me because he needed my gift
you’re not important because you got a
degree
he didn’t redeem you because they’re
smart he redeemed you because you are
only worth as much as somebody would pay
look at how much he paid for your I
remember telling him you’re not getting
no good deal I told him everybody called
me the mystery I said oh you should do
that man I said he might getting a good
deal he should get one of those good
people because cuz I didn’t feel worthy
but it wasn’t about how I evaluated
myself it was how much the market would
bear how much he would pay to get me out
of hock why would he pay that much and
leave you living in the pawn shop
with your vain lifestyle he didn’t
redeem you so you could go to church on
Sunday and live in hell from Monday
through Saturday and be oppressed and be
discouraged and be depressed and be
heavy laden with bondages that you can’t
break over your life and anger and
insecurity that then that was wasted
money he redeemed you with the blood
found you is determined by sacrifice
spirit of the Living God falls fresh on
us today as we delve into your word
let it be illuminated in such a way that
people receive light inner light
enlightened them as we share your word
today in Jesus name Amen
you may be seated so what determines
value what determines value I want I
want to give you some of us some secular
metaphors to bring out spiritual truth
in business there is a concept called
intrinsic value and if if a company was
evaluated it is evaluated on the basis
of its intrinsic value my company is
largely an entertainment production
agency and we produce television and
movies and things like that and so if
you got ready to do an evaluation of my
company and intrinsic evaluations is how
much are the assets the building the
staff the amount of money the profits
how much how much are the assets but an
intrinsic value goes beyond tangible
assets down to the strength of the brand
the strength of the brand means for
McDonald’s if you evaluate at McDonald’s
by its assets alone you wouldn’t have
the full value you would have to include
how well-known the brand is what people
think about the brand what what the
perception of the golden arches does
when I Drive home I Drive down the road
sometimes that is full of restaurants
that are mom-and-pop restaurants they
are not a part of a brand and and they
have to struggle for customers and then
you’ll get to the corner and there will
be a Wendy’s or a Burger King selling
the same hamburger sometimes not as good
but because they kept the name Wendy’s
or McDonald’s on it they are lined up
there and that the other restaurant
there’s two or three little cars so this
intrinsic value is the power of that
name of that brand of that perception
how people feel about it intrinsic value
are you following what I’m saying let me
go a little bit deeper I have a wedding
ring on and if I took it down to have it
appraised they would ascribe a value to
my ring based on what the market would
bear that doesn’t touch what it means to
me
I hardly ever take my wedding ring off
showers swimming in to make getting a
manicure you just have to rub around it
reason being I lost it about two times
have you ever had to tell your wife that
you couldn’t find
your wedding ring you know how in those
horror movies where the white parts of
your eyes go black the white part of her
eyes went but she says whoops I said I’m
looking for it I started sweating like I
was preaching I said I’m looking for it
I’m looking everywhere I can’t find it
she was over there moving chairs and
friends she showed you you can find this
ring she was sleeping like the woman in
the Bible who couldn’t find the tenth
coin she was sweeping all over the place
I was scared like I was seven I was she
had staff and everybody looking for the
ring I was down on my hands and knees
like I was gonna get a whuppin trying to
find the ring
bless my soul if I didn’t get it back
and fooled around and couldn’t find it
again and I didn’t even want to tell her
how come you’ll have your ring on a you
know what had happened was it I said I
mean I talk for a living I started to
dig when I got that ring back I’ll take
it off me but I just walk around with it
on my head whether I gain weight or lost
weight sometimes sometimes the flesh
around my wings swells up like bread
dough
I still don’t take it off if I lose
weight and it’s and it’s about to fall
off my hand I hold it all with my thumb
yeah yeah because I just don’t want to
it’s not just the value of the ring it
is the intrinsic value of what it means
to us that I could never get back if I
sold it I couldn’t sell it for what it
means to me okay because that’s an
intrinsic value that the market will not
bear never will forget when I bought my
house I bought my house in and–and–and
my house is built in a neighborhood that
they quote unquote over built for the
night
and what that means it’s when you build
a bigger house then the houses
surrounding it that means that when you
get ready to sell the house you can’t
get how much you it costs to build it
because the appraisal isn’t based on the
materials that are in the house
it is also assessed by the environment
in which it was in so I told the owner
of the house I went to see the house
about three times and then I got on the
owners nerve because they kept looking
at the house of wouldn’t make offer so I
tell the realtor for me not to come back
if I wasn’t gonna make offer he’s been
here three times and he hadn’t made an
offer and so the realtor told me what he
said I said to the ribs I said you tell
him that I said that I don’t want to
make him an offer because I see how much
they love the house and I see how much
care they put into them yes how much
money they put into it and the quality
of the beatle round and the quality of
the infrastructure and the quality of
the finish al and I know how much they
love the unique nuances that they put in
the house but since I’m going to have to
go to the bank I can only offer you the
appraised value and I didn’t want to
hurt your feelings so she went back and
told him what I see it and and he said
he sent my word to me said make an offer
and I said I got it
I prepared him for the disappointment
of not giving back what he had put in it
lowering his expectations to understand
this this this offer I’m getting ready
to make you is going to be disappointed
if the issue is just how disappointing
isn’t going to be and from there I got a
wonderful deal on my house you
understand what I’m saying now I want
you to understand let’s see he was
telling me the replacement cost okay I
was telling him I am NOT an insurance
company I’m a buyer and I am not willing
to sacrifice enough money to replace it
is a different figure from the appraised
value because the appraised value is
based on the neighborhood and the market
and the economy and a lot of other
peripheral things have to do with value
in it funny the same house that could be
sold for two hundred and fifty thousand
dollars in in 2015
might could have only been sold for a
hundred and seventy five thousand in
2010 same house same location same
neighborhood but because of the market
the value of the house is determined by
how much people are willing to sacrifice
to get it and how much people are
willing to sacrifice depends on the
times and the environment like when
people get scared they’re not willing to
sacrifice as much they said that when
president-elect Trump got the nomination
a won the presidency that the stock
markets dropped immediately for while
people got scared when people get scared
they grow back
because value is not determined by the
owner is determined by the buyer and if
the buyer is afraid the price drops you
see are you found well I’m going
somewhere just stay with me you see you
gotta understand that the value of the
dollar I went to London a few years ago
and the dollar against the pound at the
time I was in London was worth about 50
cents so if something said it was 200
pounds I had to pay 400 dollars to get
it if I go over there now with the same
dollar and it says 200 pounds I can
spend $100 and buy it same dollars
different perception and the value
fluctuates on the same item based on the
sacrifice how much the buyer will pay to
get it and God said when Satan held you
up on the slave table and said how much
will you give my value isn’t determined
by my personal worth my value is
determined by how much he would
sacrifice
are you giving how much he would
sacrifice so the Bible says you were not
born with silver and gold but with the
precious blood of Jesus put it up yeah
that women when you begin to look at the
two different things this is what the
market would bear God said I won’t just
give silver and gold I will give my son
for you so I’m not valuable
I know I’m valuable because value is
determined by sacrifice I did some
horrible things I did some things I’ve
testified about I did some things I
don’t tell how many of you have never
told you a whole testimony am i starving
grinning they look guilty they would
give their Bibles in court we wouldn’t
get arrested yeah
nobody tells everything except the crazy
people because because the truth of the
matter is if I told you everything you
would be shocked that he would give
anything for come on somebody so the
reason I have to worship him and give
him the praise is that I realized that
he paid more for me than what I deserve
if you’ve got that testimony give him a
praise
yeah yeah yeah say him with somebody say
he got the shorty another deal I got
more by getting him then he got by
getting me I got more by giving him then
he got by kidding me I got more by
giving him than he got by giving me he’s
he’s more God than I am man come on
somebody I got the blessing when I got
the Lord

value is determined that sacrifice I

John 3:16 God so loved the world value
is determined by sacrifice God so valued
the world intrinsically his attitude
about it like the wedding ring like the
homeowner it was his love that made it
valuable
he saw the infinite God God so to the
infinite degree love the infinite
emotion the world the infinite deficit
that he gained the infinite sacrifice so
that whosoever believe Allah know hear
where I’m saying God so loved the war he
said that’s important to me I’ll pay
more than anybody else would pay because
I feel more than anybody else feel you
don’t have to like me God likes me God
so long

the world that He gave His only begotten
Son value is determined by sacrifice so
when I see the cross when I see the
magnanimous sacrifice of the cross when
I see that they hung him high and
stretched him wide and nailed him to a
tree and then he hung there from the
sixth to the ninth hour and that he died
into the ground got nervous and begin to
tremble and died until the Sun refused
to shine and died in two brains open up
all over Jerusalem when I see how he
died so willingly that they didn’t have
to break his legs
then he became obedient unto death and
gave up a gaze of the goat when I see
that no man took his life but he laid it
down when I see that he despised the
cross but for the joy that was set
before it of having me he said go ahead
prime the nerves in my head value

is determined by sacrifice value is
determined by sacrifice let me let me
explain something I won’t teach this if
I say to you let me see give me somebody
I’m gonna get some bad yeah looking for
a suspect I will give a suspect glory to
go I’ll take you come over here come on
if I say to you I’m gonna give you two
hundred dollars a day
let me see
I’m not sure I get 200 bucks it’s gonna
be a bear ship we vine like this is $200
it’s not but I said we’ll give you $200
a day I’m running short today this is
okay you love me I say I’m gonna give
you $200 a day to work for me let me
tell you what I just see it on the base
of your resume or skills or talent I
will buy a day of your life for $200
that’s what he just sold me a day of his
life his skills his talents is no longer
his own because he took the money I
bought a day that he will never have
again I’m out a day that he could never
create again I’m out a day that it
doesn’t matter how you feel what you
were going to do what you had in mind
whether you woke up in a bad mood the
fact that you took that money means our
own bad day johani and belongs to me for
that day cause he took the money now if
he is selling something selling that
phone for $200 you just give him the
money

you just sacrifice a day of your life
for the phone

is determined by sacrifice you worked
you sweat it you gave up your time your
labor to get the $200 now you gave him
the sacrifice of the day you said I’ll
pay a day for a phone that’s why you
ought to be careful what you buy because
you are trading your life from
merchandise let me go deeper you are
giving up the intangible for the
tangible you just gave up a day in your
life for something that’s only going to
be valuable for a short period of time
and they’re gonna upgrade and you don’t
have to give up another day of your life
to give the next one be sure you want it
bad enough because you just sold
yourself for the flower okay you give me
this phone man you give him the money
back and you give me my money
the illustration is now over everybody
got what they had to start with
understand this just an illustration
I’ve just teach it without door business
when you think about it that way
it changes how you spend money because
when you spend money you are spending
life that’s why some people pay you by
the hour
when they say $16 an hour they are
trading an hour you will never get back
for $16
that’s why if you take the money and
don’t provide the service you robbed me

tough decisions okay and and and Solomon
comes to reign after the order of the

Solomon’s gifts are different whenever
there is a transition of power people
tend to be attached to the gift set of
the predecessor see when Joshua took
over after Moses that was a tough job
because Joshua wasn’t good at what Moses
did Moses as rod was turning into
serpents and he was doing all of this
Magnus magnificent stuff and Joshua was
a fighter
okay any time you come in behind
somebody else’s greatness people are
addicted to their giftings you’ve got
the same position but not the same
giftings there is an adaptable period
where people have to transition to what
you have to offer because that what
they’re gonna say is when so-and-so was
here
if I died right now and you became the
pastor the first thing they were saying
within a that’s not how this you did it
when you can’t do it the way bishop did
it because you bring a different
skillset into it one of the things that
Solomon did have that David didn’t have
is that he was wise he was incredibly
wise he was wiser in some ways and David
David was strong he could fight he could
war he was passionate he could lead but
David wasn’t always good with decisions
don’t make me elaborate every gift has a
weakness
people see the gift
but they don’t see the weakness every
gift has a weakness and so if you are
gifted you carry the gift intention
intention with the weakness
just because I’m good at this doesn’t
mean I’m good at that just because I can
sing that mean I can manage money just
because I’m good at preaching doesn’t
mean I’m good at home the fact that you
see people who are good at one thing
doesn’t mean that they’re good at
everything that’s why this the online
dating thing is it’s gonna get you in
trouble because people advertise what
they’re good at and you discover what
they’re not and with the absence of a
dating period to get to understand what
level of weakness you are living with
you said I do to the gift but you live
with the weakness at least Damon gave
you a hint just a clue I want you my

he was wise wise above his years he was
so wise that when the Queen of Sheba
came to see him and she saw his order he

arrange issues on the inside chaos

life reflected the way he thought as a

your life is a reflection of what you
think and what you value

heart is

if you have the money and you don’t put
it in where she dwells he said you don’t
ascribe your happiness come from
somebody a man will buy what makes him
happy
can I get some man to be a witness to me
if a man loves clothes he’ll buy clothes
if he doesn’t care about clothes he
won’t buy clothes if he loves the
building of Babel I don’t have a boat
because I don’t love the boat I get on
him for the times I love the boat I can
ball but my brother has a boat cuz he
loves the boat and so every time I turn
around he tell me I was out on the boat
I just came in from the boat they all
you need to come ride on the boat I was
on the boat and I caught a fish because
he’s enjoying it he will sacrifice for
what he loves
I knew he didn’t love her cuz he made
enough money to fix it up but he didn’t
fix it up which meant that that was not
his den
a lion will fix up his lair he will lay
the environment for what’s important to
him if you love music you’ve got music I
don’t care if you’re sleeping on a
beanbag you’re guiding music you will
have a sound system you remember how we
would have the raggedy cars but we would
have the expensive sound system and the
car door was about to fall off and you
had to kick it before it opened but when
you turned on the music you would have
surround sound value is determined by
sacrifice what do you value determines
what you will sacrifice are you killing
something that’s more important to win
something that’s less important let me
give you an example are you so angry at
your ex-husband that you won’t let him
near your child because you want to show
him how bad he hurts you
winning becomes more important than the
damage you’re doing to the child because
you’re so engrossed to get me even with
him that you don’t care how you beat up
the kid as long as you show him oh
you’re using you young you don’t know
what pain is
you don’t walk around with tears in your
eyes never noticing that you are killing
the channel

what do you value what do you value
determines the decisions you make see
most people when they teach it they act
like the other woman didn’t have any
values she did it her value was a
winning
how dare my brother say I have no values
because I have no boat and it’s just
that I don’t value what he values not if
two people get married and they don’t
value the same things it becomes
difficult to have a relationship with
somebody who doesn’t fight for you value
is tying together for him value is
working if you don’t have the same value
he says I’m a good man you on the phone
talking about girl let me tell you it’s
not that you don’t have the same faith
or the same ethnicity or the same
background or like the same music you
don’t have the same value
you want to be connected with people who
value what you value because when you do
your idea happy and my dear happy
becomes the same thing but when your
idea happy is one thing your mind dear
happy is the same thing and we’re trying
to make each other happy though we’re
really trying to make each other happy
we have a tendency to give each other
what we value rather than what they
value see some people like it win
yourself I like it when you get quiet
because when you get real quiet I know
you’re thinking about stuff you didn’t
have the same values you value going to
church he values getting high you used
to value getting high now you value
going to church he’s mad at you going to
church because I’m talking to anybody
because when he got with you you had the
same value so he misses who you used to
be somebody got their head was that for
you give God a praise whoever that was
for I just opened up something in your
head it’s not anything like you he
doesn’t like your values it’s not that
he doesn’t like church Church has become
the other man and he feels like you’re
cheating on him and the only way to
maintain the relationship is to give him
enough of what he values time with him
that he doesn’t feel robbed by your
faith but when you come home talking
about what another man said

you come in an old time let me tell you
what this apprecia day instead of coming
in the door talking about I went to
church but I’ll miss you I was thinking
about you I had a good time but I’m glad

Solomon looks at what the two women
value and determines who the mother is
keep our baby I didn’t forget where I

knew that she valued the baby so much
that she would rather ate the rest of
her life than to hurt the baby

sacrifice I’d rather be hurt myself
didn’t hurt you I’d rather cry myself
good to watch anything happen to you

with your same self talk about I don’t
feel loved how can you say that love
says if one of us got to hurt
I’d rather it be me than you this is
what I decided when my mother was that I
told God I would rather bear the pain of
losing her then enjoy the pleasure of
having her and watch her reared in pain
sometimes love requires looser

if the choice is keep her here in pain
so I can say I have her or let her rest
in peace and let me bear the pain of
losing her I would rather be in pain
without her than to have her in pain
just so I can go visit her love is
self-sacrificing what is real before I
would hurt you I’d rather be unhappy and
make you happy
see you don’t hear that today because
today everything is about what makes you
happy
but when you really love something you
would rather be unhappy than to hurt
what you love there is a difference
between lust and love she’s not in love
with you she’s in lust with you love
says I’d rather you hurt me
that’s why in Corinthians Paul says love
seeketh not her own is not puffed up law
says hurt me not the baby
Solomon says that’s the real money I’ve
never seen real love lose a fight
real law will break the race it’ll break
through culture it’ll break through
circumstances real lover break through
hard times adversity and trouble because
real love is never selfish it may feel
selfish it may want to be selfish but
when real love looks at how then is
hurting you real love says that’s okay
let her have the baby I’d rather go home

and know that my baby is alive there for
you to cut my baby in two and Solomon
says this is the real mother and the
Texas goes on to say all of Israel was
amazed at his wisdom because he knew
that value is determined by sacrifice

unselfishly I want you to live giving I
want you to live putting yourself in the

telling you what success scoffs you
can’t have success without sacrifice you
can’t have the baby mama without
sacrifice I knew she was the real mama

trying to have success without sacrifice
you want a good marriage what you want
to do your own thing you want a great
business but you want free time you want
to be knowledge and recognize but you
don’t want to be committed you want a
title but you don’t want to do the work
you want to be honored but you don’t
want to be sacrificial he said I’m glad
you don’t take the phone if you’re not
gonna give me the money
don’t take the cheque if you’re not
gonna do the job don’t sign up for the
blessings if you’re not gonna have the
discipline if you really want to be
successful sacrifice God is successful
because he I’m paid to be where I am I
gave up to be wild you can’t take the
position you can’t be a mama and do your
own thing you can’t be a Betty and never
sacrifice because you have to love it
more than you love you
whatever you love us more than you love
yourself you will succeed at if you
gotta have rest you will be a successful
sleeper if you gotta have friends you
will be successful in having trades
whatever you value you sacrifice for I
tell my wife I love them don’t start a
friendship cuz friendships are expensive
and I know you you’re not gonna want to
be answering the phone and dealing with
all the various sister don’t start there
I already know you don’t value that
enough to sacrifice for it
you are only successful in the areas of
your sacrifice
I beg you brethren by the mercies of God
that you pay the costs to be where you
are present your body a living sacrifice
put it up

what are you willing to give up your
attitude for your proclivities for what
are you willing to put on boss to get to
the next level you can’t get to the next

are praying for success that God is

Abraham built an altar and offered up a
sacrifice and God blessed him when
Elijah was being fought by 450 prophets

when you go home and hold him that’s
your cross whatever kills your flesh
that’s across you keep showing me that
you’re a Christian buy what works in
your life I’m telling you you’re a
Christian by what doesn’t work your
faith is proven by your sacrifice
because you believe in it and it is
killing you but for a higher purpose you
stay and you stand and you endure
whatever kills your pride whatever makes
you challenge your deepest fear and it
scares you to death and you did it scare

scales one in which you weigh me and

which you weigh the people around you

values because that’s what we were
talking about values what do you value
and how do you evaluate evaluate
circumstances and situations how you
evaluate a circumstances situation has
something to do with your values has
something to do with your scales and I
want to continue down that path this
Sunday it said okay so that was just my
attempt to give you to those of you that
weren’t there didn’t hear the message or

grapple with the complexities of this

the over inflation of the ideology that
says self-esteem determines everything
is not true because sometimes people
have self-esteem beyond their value

could buy you for what you’re worth and
selling you for what you think you’re
worth I could live the rest of my life
off the difference it’s just it’s a slap
in the face you figured out like some
people think they bring so much to the
table but they’re the only ones that
think so and an overinflated ego is just
as bad as low self-esteem so if we think
that value is determined by sacrifice if
we’re going to try that thought in text

connotation but originally the word
redeemed didn’t have anything to do with
theology it had to do with purchase like
you take something and hock a watch
and to redeem it is to get it out of
hock
i redeemed it and what what Jesus did
for us is that Satan put us in hock he
pawned us into a state of sin and Jesus
went down to the pawn shop

people because cuz I didn’t feel worthy
but it wasn’t about how I evaluated
myself it was how much the market would
bear how much he would pay to get me out
of hock why would he pay that much and
leave you living in the pawn shop
with your vain lifestyle he didn’t
redeem you so you could go to church on
Sunday and live in hell from Monday
through Saturday and be oppressed and be
discouraged and be depressed and be
heavy laden with bondages that you can’t
break over your life and anger and
insecurity that then that was wasted
money he redeemed you with the blood
found you is determined by sacrifice
spirit of the Living God falls fresh on
us today as we delve into your word
let it be illuminated in such a way that
people receive light inner light
enlightened them as we share your word

you may be seated so what determines
value what determines value I want I
want to give you some of us some secular
metaphors to bring out spiritual truth
in business there is a concept called
intrinsic value and if if a company was
evaluated it is evaluated on the basis
of its intrinsic value my company is
largely an entertainment production
agency and we produce television and
movies and things like that and so if
you got ready to do an evaluation of my
company and intrinsic evaluations is how
much are the assets the building the
staff the amount of money the profits
how much how much are the assets but an
intrinsic value goes beyond tangible
assets down to the strength of the brand
the strength of the brand means for
McDonald’s if you evaluate at McDonald’s
by its assets alone you wouldn’t have
the full value you would have to include
how well-known the brand is what people
think about the brand what what the
perception of the golden arches does
when I Drive home I Drive down the road
sometimes that is full of restaurants
that are mom-and-pop restaurants they
are not a part of a brand and and they
have to struggle for customers and then
you’ll get to the corner and there will
be a Wendy’s or a Burger King selling
the same hamburger sometimes not as good
but because they kept the name Wendy’s
or McDonald’s on it they are lined up
there and that the other restaurant
there’s two or three little cars so this
intrinsic value is the power of that
name of that brand of that perception
how people feel about it intrinsic value
are you following what I’m saying let me
go a little bit deeper I have a wedding
ring on and if I took it down to have it
appraised they would ascribe a value to
my ring based on what the market would
bear that doesn’t touch what it means to
me
I hardly ever take my wedding ring off
showers swimming in to make getting a
manicure you just have to rub around it
reason being I lost it about two times
have you ever had to tell your wife that
you couldn’t find
your wedding ring you know how in those
horror movies where the white parts of
your eyes go black the white part of her
eyes went but she says whoops I said I’m
looking for it I started sweating like I
was preaching I said I’m looking for it
I’m looking everywhere I can’t find it
she was over there moving chairs and
friends she showed you you can find this
ring she was sleeping like the woman in
the Bible who couldn’t find the tenth
coin she was sweeping all over the place
I was scared like I was seven I was she
had staff and everybody looking for the
ring I was down on my hands and knees
like I was gonna get a whuppin trying to
find the ring
bless my soul if I didn’t get it back
and fooled around and couldn’t find it
again and I didn’t even want to tell her
how come you’ll have your ring on a you
know what had happened was it I said I
mean I talk for a living I started to
dig when I got that ring back I’ll take
it off me but I just walk around with it
on my head whether I gain weight or lost
weight sometimes sometimes the flesh
around my wings swells up like bread
dough
I still don’t take it off if I lose
weight and it’s and it’s about to fall
off my hand I hold it all with my thumb
yeah yeah because I just don’t want to
it’s not just the value of the ring it
is the intrinsic value of what it means
to us that I could never get back if I
sold it I couldn’t sell it for what it
means to me okay because that’s an
intrinsic value that the market will not
bear never will forget when I bought my
house I bought my house in and–and–and
my house is built in a neighborhood that
they quote unquote over built for the
night
and what that means it’s when you build
a bigger house then the houses
surrounding it that means that when you
get ready to sell the house you can’t
get how much you it costs to build it
because the appraisal isn’t based on the
materials that are in the house
it is also assessed by the environment
in which it was in so I told the owner
of the house I went to see the house
about three times and then I got on the
owners nerve because they kept looking
at the house of wouldn’t make offer so I
tell the realtor for me not to come back
if I wasn’t gonna make offer he’s been
here three times and he hadn’t made an
offer and so the realtor told me what he
said I said to the ribs I said you tell
him that I said that I don’t want to
make him an offer because I see how much
they love the house and I see how much
care they put into them yes how much
money they put into it and the quality
of the beatle round and the quality of
the infrastructure and the quality of
the finish al and I know how much they
love the unique nuances that they put in
the house but since I’m going to have to
go to the bank I can only offer you the
appraised value and I didn’t want to
hurt your feelings so she went back and
told him what I see it and and he said
he sent my word to me said make an offer
and I said I got it
I prepared him for the disappointment
of not giving back what he had put in it
lowering his expectations to understand
this this this offer I’m getting ready
to make you is going to be disappointed
if the issue is just how disappointing
isn’t going to be and from there I got a
wonderful deal on my house you
understand what I’m saying now I want
you to understand let’s see he was
telling me the replacement cost okay I
was telling him I am NOT an insurance
company I’m a buyer and I am not willing
to sacrifice enough money to replace it
is a different figure from the appraised
value because the appraised value is
based on the neighborhood and the market
and the economy and a lot of other
peripheral things have to do with value
in it funny the same house that could be
sold for two hundred and fifty thousand
dollars in in 2015
might could have only been sold for a
hundred and seventy five thousand in
2010 same house same location same
neighborhood but because of the market
the value of the house is determined by
how much people are willing to sacrifice
to get it and how much people are
willing to sacrifice depends on the
times and the environment like when
people get scared they’re not willing to
sacrifice as much they said that when
president-elect Trump got the nomination
a won the presidency that the stock
markets dropped immediately for while
people got scared when people get scared
they grow back
because value is not determined by the
owner is determined by the buyer and if
the buyer is afraid the price drops you
see are you found well I’m going
somewhere just stay with me you see you
gotta understand that the value of the
dollar I went to London a few years ago
and the dollar against the pound at the
time I was in London was worth about 50
cents so if something said it was 200
pounds I had to pay 400 dollars to get

addicted to their giftings you’ve got

giftings there is an adaptable period
where people have to transition to what

see people who are good at one thing

winning becomes more important than the

you’re so engrossed to get me even with
him that you don’t care how you beat up
the kid as long as you show him oh

what pain is
you don’t walk around with tears in your
eyes never noticing that you are killing

determines the decisions you make see
most people when they teach it they act
like the other woman didn’t have any
values she did it her value was a
winning

two people get married and they don’t

going to church he’s mad at you going to

because when he got with you you had the
same value so he misses who you used to
be somebody got their head was that for

doesn’t like your values it’s not that
he doesn’t like church Church has become
the other man and he feels like you’re
cheating on him and the only way to
maintain the relationship is to give him

Abraham built an altar and offered up a
sacrifice and God blessed him when
Elijah was being fought by 450 prophets

sometimes your cross is standing a
marriage that you’re not happy
sometimes your cross is working at a job
for you you’re not even getting the pay
that you do but because you believe in
what you’re doing
sometimes your cross is loving somebody
who don’t love you back and you keep
given and given and given and they keep
taking and take it and take it and every
time you think about it you believe
whatever makes you believe it so cross
if you had a child that can’t read or
can’t walk or can’t sit up in the bed
and God couldn’t trust nobody to love
that child but you and every time you
love him you love him
and you hurt and you hurt and you love
when you go home and hold him that’s
your cross whatever kills your flesh
that’s across you keep showing me that
you’re a Christian buy what works in
your life I’m telling you you’re a
Christian by what doesn’t work your
faith is proven by your sacrifice
because you believe in it and it is
killing you but for a higher purpose you
stay and you stand and you endure
whatever kills your pride whatever makes
you challenge your deepest fear and it
scares you to death and you did it scare

100 passionately ministering in the back

speak to nation spent years being
faithful in a storefront you see the TV

kind of accusations you do it for the
money you do it for the frame you do it
for the power you do it for this you do
it for that you can say whatever you
want to because you’re looking at the
success but God sees me driving a 1967
valiant with the floorboard rusted out
going to preach the gospel and God sees
me thumbing up to Montgomery because my
car broke down in the middle

sees me preaching when the light salt in
my house and I had to go to my mama’s
house the water and I was still
preaching the gospel I don’t care what
you say and I don’t care what you think
and I don’t care what you write because
value real value is determined by
sacrifice and I just want to take away
more than thinking excuse me by just one
thing winning in thinking I just need to
take a bit of it thinking then he
ordered my sacrifice
there are sacrifice when I was young so
I can walk in my success when I get
older and I just want to thank you in
front of everybody that you did not
forget my labor of love and the to art
of the days that I would fail to a cross

I was preaching faith when my phone was
off and I used to go to miss a little
boy’s house to get the phone and make a
phone call and I was preaching the
gospel I was preaching the gospel when I
only have one suit and we considered
unclean as a suing that washed it into
the land and they come out of it and I
came home three chirping uh excuse me
I’m sorry I’m just laughing for bit I
want to thank you
where is your cross where is your cross
where is your faithfulness in your
consistency go ahead take job stuff job
or do it with no house he’ll do it with
no kids he’ll do with everybody talking
about it he’ll do with boys all over his
body until you have a cross you have no
right to demand the crown how dare you
ask for a cloud join hands with somebody
somewhere in their life there is a cross
it’s not made out of wood but there’s
something that they endure for greater
good they see all of their friends
getting stuff that they can’t have and
doing stuff that they can’t do and the
devil’s trying to talk them down off the
cross but God sent this word to tell you
to hang on in there

trusted you gave up what you could have
had where you couldn’t live what you
could have drove because you believed in
something bigger than yourself you could
have walked away from them kids but you
stayed there raised of it what I love
the women were running around looking
for me and he was going home helping
your kids his homework if you look
stupid but God’s gonna honor your
sacrifice it may not come with your
warning but hang on in the act I did it
for years when it looked like it didn’t
work I did it for years and years and
years and I probably forgot me but God
does not forget sacrifice I don’t know
whether he remembers dancing or not but
God does not forget sacrifice
I’ll say God is not unjust to forget
your labor of love and that you have
sacrificed and you served squeeze that
hand you hold it he would not come down
from the cross just to save himself you
think you’re a Christian because you’re
watching me on TV and you’ll take your
Christian because you’re streaming on
this broadcast or you think you’re
Christian because you came to church and
you sing in the choir that’s not what
makes you a Christian you’re a Christian
because you’ve got a cross you’re a
Christian because you’re a living
sacrifice your nails or something that
makes you squirm you nailed to something
gives you pain and your nails or
something that makes you bleed and you
still praise God and you still serve God
and you still lifting hands and this
with him if you’re still holding on and
you’ve been faithful though you’ve been
hurting and you’ve been faithful though
you’ve been bleeding yeah you’ve been
faithful Billy you were scared you faced
your fears and did it anyway that’s what
makes you a Christian

they laughed at me they told jokes about
me they call me the boy preacher said
I’d never be nothing they thought I was
nothing cuz I didn’t have no success to
show all I had was sacrifice but if you
sacrifice long enough if you build an
altar before you build your house if you
seek you first the kingdom of God and
all of this righteousness there will
come a day that God will open up the
windows of heaven and pour you out a
blessing you don’t have room enough to
let us not be weary it will doing here
for ye shall reap in due season
it’s your faint not squeeze that hand
the hand you’re holding it’s carrying a
cost you don’t even see the hand you’re
holding isn’t doing some things that you
don’t know anything about the hand
you’re holding it’s given when it hurts
servant when it’s not convenient or the
hand you’re holding needs to be and
they’re called to me and they’re
convicted because they’ve been too
selfish too long too focused on your
flesh now I beseech you therefore
brethren by the mercies of God that you
present yourself
your body a living sacrifice why are you
doing everything you big enough to do
with one God to bless you anyway God is
waiting on you to sacrifice I don’t like
it it gives me pain I don’t like it is
me and I’m likely to get someone there I
gotta beat myself shut up go to your
cross it’s reasonable if he went to his
cross it’s reasonable that you would go
to your squeeze that hand and whisper a
prayer because it’s not easy to be a
living sacrifice
