the fear of failure because many many
people don’t go as far as they should go
because they have apprehension that they
won’t reach their goal
so rather than to try and risk failing
they just say I’m gonna stay down here
where I’m at and not try because I might
lose I might lose I might lose I’m not
gonna try anything I’m not gonna own
anything cuz I might lose it
I’m not gonna buy a house cuz I might
lose it I’m not gonna get married
because I might get a divorce I’m not
gonna apply for that positions because I
might not get it then that’s madness but
that’s how it is
internal conflict have you given
or are you so intimidated by the fear of
failure that you don’t try on the other
side of it it’s a fear success being
afraid that you will reach your goal but
some disasters are made result these are
mixed emotions
I warned it but I don’t want all the
stuff that comes with it I don’t want to
deal with all the problems that come
with it I don’t want to deal with all
the disasters I don’t want to deal with
the pressures that come with it I can’t
handle it I’m gonna stay on this lower
level and when you do that and you
reject God’s opportunity you are left
with nothing but the hope of magic magic
it’s what I’m just gonna stay down here
where it’s comfortable but some kind of
magical way I’m believing that I’m gonna
get a blessing up here while I’m staying
down here you can’t do it
it’s like believing God that you’re
gonna get pregnant and not gain weight
and then I’ve won the baby but I don’t
want the pregnancy I don’t want the
weight I don’t want the stretch marks I
don’t want any I don’t want to throw up
in the morning of all of that goes along
with the process and if you will allow
anyone anything any voice on the inside
to talk you out of this moment you will
forfeit it and be stuck washing your
nets when there’s a great drought of
fish sweating him if you have the
courage
to believe what really stops us from
taking the lead and coming to the
forefront a lot of times is not the lack
of talent it’s not the life of resources
sometimes is not the lack of education
I’ve been amazed at the people I have
met who were highly educated and failing
highly educated and feeling highly
educated and homeless I worked with the
guy who who has a doctorate in economics
and it’s washing cars this can’t seem to
get it together
so education alone is not the solution
I’m for education I think it’s important
it’s a good thing or we wouldn’t be
building have built the school next door
I think it’s very important but I have
seen people educated and stuck I’ve
worked in penal institutions and seeing
people who are very gifted and
incarcerated just because somebody is
incarcerated or homeless doesn’t mean
that they don’t have talent in fact I’ve
seen people with less talent than you
doing more than you
and until you willing to look bad in the
face and say what am i doing to sabotage
my own success of moving to the next
level you’ll never get in there until
you want and end this before causes
jealousy and envy when you look at you
meet other people who have less to work
with in you and yet they’re in higher
positions in you you can either become
jealous or bitter or you can begin to
challenge yourself to say what is wrong
with my belief systems that stopping me
from going to the next level in this
area okay
and I want to deal with some irrational
beliefs that will stop you from moving
up to the next level this is not about
money necessarily this is not about
prestige necessarily this is about
progress because it’s a shame to live
long and have no progress I want to have
progress in every area of my life I want
to see progress in parenting I want to
see progress in my relationship with my
wife
I want to see front if I’m going to go
to work every day I want to see progress
when you look at the word criticism it
is rooted in the same word that critique
is from and you must understand first of
all that all criticism is not bad
you need criticism you need critique
Tiger Woods would not be tiger woods
without critique Magic Johnson wouldn’t
have been who he was on the basketball
court without critique critique makes
you better to live in a world that has
no criticism is dangerous it is
dangerous you you will never perfect
whatever it is you’re trying to do
without criticism you need somebody who
is bold enough to critique you and say I
love you but that doesn’t look good on
my wife has a saying when she sees
somebody who really didn’t happen
together she says they either need a
friend or a mirror she said either one

who is bold enough to confront you in a
loving way to confront you and to say

got an anger problem is shutting you
down or you keep trying to beat things

being exposed to other great people

challenges how many people have walked
out of your life

ego when they’re not jealous of you you

another ego when they can pray for you
and help you to get to the next level

fear of the next level fear of taking
the lead fear of going forward now I
want to talk about some things with fear
I want to talk about two different
dimensions of fear that I want you to
understand before you take the lead I
want to talk about the fear of failure
the fear of failure because many many
people don’t go as far as they should go
because they have apprehension that they
won’t reach their goal
so rather than to try and risk failing
they just say I’m gonna stay down here
where I’m at and not try because I might
lose I might lose I might lose I’m not
gonna try anything I’m not gonna own
anything cuz I might lose it
I’m not gonna buy a house cuz I might
lose it I’m not gonna get married
because I might get a divorce I’m not
gonna apply for that positions because I
might not get it then that’s madness but
that’s how it is
internal conflict have you given
or are you so intimidated by the fear of
failure that you don’t try on the other
side of it it’s a fear success being
afraid that you will reach your goal but
some disasters are made result these are
mixed emotions
I warned it but I don’t want all the
stuff that comes with it I don’t want to
deal with all the problems that come
with it I don’t want to deal with all
the disasters I don’t want to deal with
the pressures that come with it I can’t
handle it I’m gonna stay on this lower
level and when you do that and you
reject God’s opportunity you are left
with nothing but the hope of magic magic
it’s what I’m just gonna stay down here
where it’s comfortable but some kind of
magical way I’m believing that I’m gonna
get a blessing up here while I’m staying
down here you can’t do it
it’s like believing God that you’re
gonna get pregnant and not gain weight
and then I’ve won the baby but I don’t
want the pregnancy I don’t want the
weight I don’t want the stretch marks I
don’t want any I don’t want to throw up
in the morning of all of that goes along
with the process and if you will allow
anyone anything any voice on the inside
to talk you out of this moment you will
forfeit it and be stuck washing your
nets when there’s a great drought of
fish sweating him if you have the
courage
to believe what really stops us from
taking the lead and coming to the
forefront a lot of times is not the lack
of talent it’s not the life of resources
sometimes is not the lack of education
I’ve been amazed at the people I have
met who were highly educated and failing
highly educated and feeling highly
educated and homeless I worked with the
guy who who has a doctorate in economics
and it’s washing cars this can’t seem to
get it together
so education alone is not the solution
I’m for education I think it’s important
it’s a good thing or we wouldn’t be
building have built the school next door
I think it’s very important but I have
seen people educated and stuck I’ve
worked in penal institutions and seeing
people who are very gifted and
incarcerated just because somebody is
incarcerated or homeless doesn’t mean
that they don’t have talent in fact I’ve
seen people with less talent than you
doing more than you
and until you willing to look bad in the
face and say what am i doing to sabotage
my own success of moving to the next
level you’ll never get in there until
you want and end this before causes
jealousy and envy when you look at you
meet other people who have less to work
with in you and yet they’re in higher
positions in you you can either become
jealous or bitter or you can begin to
challenge yourself to say what is wrong
with my belief systems that stopping me
from going to the next level in this
area okay
and I want to deal with some irrational
beliefs that will stop you from moving
up to the next level this is not about
money necessarily this is not about
prestige necessarily this is about
progress because it’s a shame to live
long and have no progress I want to have
progress in every area of my life I want
to see progress in parenting I want to
see progress in my relationship with my
wife
I want to see front if I’m going to go
to work every day I want to see progress
when you look at the word criticism it
is rooted in the same word that critique
is from and you must understand first of
all that all criticism is not bad
you need criticism you need critique
Tiger Woods would not be tiger woods
without critique Magic Johnson wouldn’t
have been who he was on the basketball
court without critique critique makes
you better to live in a world that has
no criticism is dangerous it is
dangerous you you will never perfect
whatever it is you’re trying to do
without criticism you need somebody who
is bold enough to critique you and say I
love you but that doesn’t look good on
my wife has a saying when she sees
somebody who really didn’t happen
together she says they either need a
friend or a mirror she said either one
of them will work a friend or a mirror
you our true friend to me is somebody
who is bold enough to confront you in a
loving way to confront you and to say
you know man I love you but you need to
work on this part right here or you
you’ve got an attitude problem or you
got an anger problem is shutting you
down or you keep trying to beat things
that you don’t need to be you know just
just just chill I told a buddy of mine
the other day was complaining cuz I
wasn’t following him on Twitter I said
you complain till I gave you my number
you complain to got my email then you
heard somebody else have my emails you
had to have the other email number now
we got to follow each other on Twitter I
said what all is it gonna take for you
to feel affirmed I said you just you
just you just everything everybody’s
always trying to make you feel affirmed
we’re winners enough gonna be enough and
he said thank you for confronting me I
said but I needed to be able to say that
good friends can say tough things to you
because they care enough about you to
critique you to say you know I know
you’re insecure I know you went through
some changes in fact I think that people
who really love you will invest at the
risk of falling out with you to tell you
the truth the sign of an impostor is
somebody who always says what you want
to hear many many many businesses
companies fall families fall churches
fall because nobody has the nerve to say
the tough things that need to be said to
the person that it needs to be said to
I guess because I’ve been doing a lot of
things on leadership I’ve been trying to
figure out our leaders bullying
or late
do they just come here exceptional or do
they become exceptional
some people’s greatness is drawn out by
being exposed to other great people
lately and they seek greatness and other
people and it draws out the greatness
that exists inside of them
some people greatness is grown out by
challenges how many people have walked
out of your life
and thought that their absence what
you be talk for every boy said said you
can’t do it you can’t have it
you can’t be it you’ll never give up

all of you who feel like you got it

a long time to figure eyes out give
yourself some time stop trying to be too
smart too fast it takes a while to come

who you are the problem of most people
is you want to see your way clear before

pick it up scared nervous wiring
intimidated not sure yourself it will

so if you’re feeling small inside it
doesn’t mean that you don’t have a great
collar for your life he is setting you
up for a great move he wants to move
mightily in your life there are some
things that only you can do you are
distinctly different from anybody else
you are forbidden to imitate other
people you are forbidden to copy other
people you have been marked when God
wanted you he created you if he didn’t
wanted Sally he to created Sally if he
didn’t want a Jimmy he to call Jimmy if
he didn’t want attendee to call Ted when
he called you he called you cuz he wants
you you’d never have to be stressed out
trying to be anybody other than yourself
he wants you your fingerprint is
distinctly different from anybody else
out of the billions of people on this
earth God never repeated on your
fingertips with anybody else the same
trend you are different from anybody
else anywhere in the world past present
or future
nobody has ever even had your friend you
are distinctly different from anyone
hairs on your head are numbered not
counted that would be awesome enough to
know that they were counted that God
could speak to you and tell you how many
they were but that it’s not enough to
say that they are counted they are
numbered to be numbered means that if
one of them gets caught in a tome he
are special to God you are set apart the
enemy is terrified of people that have
been sanctified he is terrified he will
set traps and obstacles and bondages to
keep you from entering into your purpose
because he is terrified you
don’t waste time being terrified at him
the greater the struggles your face
agree to the challenges you go through
the breed of the turmoil in your life is
all the indication that Satan has
assigned assassins to terminate you from
reaching your designated target he will
do anything to overwhelm you belittle
you to rip you of your confidence or
self esteem
he doesn’t mind how much you sound and
how much you dance as long as you don’t
have any confidence any faith or any
integrity he doesn’t mind how excited
you get as long as when you get through
signing you have no character he wants
to rip you until you become impotent and
so impoverished in your spirit that you
are an empty building of ghost town a
vacant house your lights all and
nobody’s at home you’re going through
the motions of life with the form of
government is denying the power thereof
he doesn’t mine happen occasionally
you don’t live in the basis of Japan he
wants to run with rape you and abuser
fight then it becomes to kill to steal
and to destroy he wants to sabotage your
success because you were created to win
you were carved to win you were set
aside to win you were formed to win the
part of MIT for you to be a successful
