grow up you tend to get told that the
world is the way it is and your your
life is just to live your life inside
the world try not to bash into the walls
too much try to have a nice family life
have fun save a little money but life
that’s a very limited life life can be
much broader once you discover one
simple fact and that is everything
around you that you call life was made
up by people that were no smarter than
you and you can change it you can
influence it you can you can build your
own things that other people can use and
the minute that you understand that you
can poke life and actually something if
you push in something will pop out the
other side but you can you can change
you can mold it that’s maybe the most
important thing is to shake off this
that this erroneous notion that life is
is there and you’re just going to live
in it versus embrace it change it
improve it make your mark upon it
I I think that’s very important and
however you learn that once you learn it
you’ll want to change life and make it
better because it’s kind of messed up in
a lot of ways once you learn that you’ll
never be the same again

and when it comes to where I want to
exude my efforts and energy in life it’s
on something that I want to make sure is
true to my own mission and my own goals
so working for myself is something I
take very seriously and everybody I work
with are people who in some capacity
share a similar vision so really it’s
this whole like be your own boss it’s
like if you if you’re in the right place
there is no boss it becomes a
collaborative effort by group of
individuals that share a mutual ambition
and that’s how I like to think of
everything that I’ve done since I quit
my last job whatever it was 14 years ago

fit in there’s nothing wrong with
fitting in but you’re fitting into
cultural or societal norms that were
created by other people

you should never compare yourself to
other people in life but I do remember
that feeling of standing at the bottom
of a huge mountain staring up and it
feeling seemingly impossible to get to
where I wanted to go and in the last 15
years I’ve learned it’s not but it takes
a lot of work in a long time

it takes years and years and years there
is no such thing at least in my
experience of an overnight success it’s
just like gradual steps that get you
closer to where you want to be
I only have one piece of advice to offer
on this round on this three million and
that one piece of advice was given to me
by a guy named Roman hat it’s the best
piece of YouTube advice I’ve ever been
given it was three words just keep

freedom for me is waking up in the
morning and going to sleep at night and
in-between doing exactly what I want to
do the secret to happiness is finding
something you love and then doing that
for the rest of your life I’ve never
really been like a I don’t really care
for numbers that much what I care more

more than just a random number but I
just thought I’d drop by say hello and

YouTube I was in college I was on a
student loan I couldn’t even afford a
proper computer that I could record
gameplay on
shortly after I quit college and so I
had to get a job and I took whatever job
I could get which was to work in a
hotdog stand I was the happiest I was at
that time because I was finally for the
first time in many many years doing what
I wanted to do and the fact that I could
make videos was so much more important
to me that I had to spend a few hours a
day doing a job that wasn’t that
prestigious I really think that money
doesn’t make you happy I am just as
happy as I am now as I was five years
ago
I think that’s what’s cool about YouTube
I think that anyone could technically do
it right I do want to finish off by just
saying thank you so much to all of you
who watched my videos enjoy them and
support what I do it really does mean a
lot and I’m just happy doing this I
would be doing it even if I was still
not as big as I am

place than when you found it for me I
start busting my blessing my chops and I
find this success and then I get this
place right here and this is when HBO
bought my show
and I thought this was making it I
thought I had made it right there so I
backed off I stopped fighting and I just
kind of like chilled out and did nothing
for a couple of years and then the show
aired and it was like over and I looked
around and here’s where I was this is
where I learned that like life does have
ups and downs but you have to keep
fighting and busting your ass to go like
this

you’ve got to maintain that you can
never get comfortable because when you
get comfortable this is what happens
Comfort this this is comfort comfort is
declined
this is fight you fight your way up

I couldn’t get comfortable I had to keep
fighting so that’s why I’m rolling the

my focus is laser set on the future I’m
not looking back all I see are bigger
scarier mountains that I will climb and
stop at nothing to get the top of

I didn’t start daily vlogging to grow my
YouTube fail I did it as a way to kill
all of those excuses I use that kept me
from making more movies because of every
single inflection point in my life doing
the work has always been the thing has
always been the catalyst that took me
from where I am to where I want it to be

if you want to succeed here you’ve got
to show up for work every single day
that that took me five years to learn

with each success must come a newer and
more ambitious goal
