feel what a beautiful phrase excellence is
and the next five minutes

marco montemagno and one of the faces and the
most known voices on the web meanwhile for one
incredible number of videos that places
practically one a day here I was leaving
just from which I would like to ask you how
does it post a video every day to not
risk to say my jumper
provocation on one side e
inevitably to the of the contents that
some work more than other functions
less depends on what you’re talking about
if you talk about something you know and what
make every day a thousand ideas
if one is a tennis player at that
point and talk about tennis and every day a
thousand declensions that you can find for
which is more a matter of curiosity he had
curiosity and focus on noticing
have reflections that arise
spontaneous from your life of all
days
if you had to prepare for it instead
make me some day they won home
yet the fear a bit that that the
public also we also hear those who work
in this area that could be for
go back to one of your video pill
all fuffa nod how do you do
understand instead that that just the
digital the web world all that
it is moving in innovation and
instead the most absolute concreteness of the
world that street but I look
exclusively made given the results of the
theories always interest you very little
because then we are full of opinionists
that they never want to understand are
only interested maybe to criticize
without having done anything but it is this
a problem for which you root stupid center
you make a video maybe on roger federer
the greatest tennis player in history
go read the comments of the people who
says ah no, but federer scarce but how
this has won you 20 titles of the great
slam for which on one side there is a large
theory and little practicality of people
on the other side, you must see
the real influence of what you do
online
take
one of the 100 million kardashian sisters
of followers on instagram lancia
a company of cosmetic products and makes
430 million turnover in 18 months
that’s not a theory this is not it
understood it has an opinion that is a given
in fact for whom today communicates well
online to a big impact eco more
trace an example
last year’s book was the
My best-selling business book of the
2017 and I made a post saying here it is
ready my book code mind yes in the
when you have a community that you
then that community follows then
it moves accordingly to an impact
huge bluish still this new
they see it bought in motorway restaurants
gianna and of what he talks to our book
blood sweat and tears sweat
working and digital tears
the most pallid argument for the universe
already worth 12 montemari title of
attraction great attention because
not even a little find it for many but not
for all, not for the port of Puglia for
almost nobody but not for everyone
your job also allows you to
have a particular observatory
in terms of response also seen i
numbers of answers you have
here is the cuts to delhi from there respect
to the theme that you treat I see different
italie and always this I work in
the tech industry I’m an entrepreneur in
digital world in the digital world six
full of amazing people in Italy
launching companies projects in
any situation in any one
condition
despite Italy, so this is it
an Italy that has always been there and is in
great growth
then the problem you see is that if you go
to reach large numbers and then do
maybe videos that make millions of
views on more mass topics you
you see
let’s say the widespread illiteracy here
so you understand when they come out
statistics where maybe the average Italian
read a book a year see here in the
sense that sometimes from the comments you understand
that people are not that do not understand
the topic does not understand Italian
so there is a huge problem from that
point of view and then I see also
this is the Italian mass sometimes you
it leaves you puzzled again for how much
the level of backwardness that exists
some biases on some topics
but overall mine
lucky conservatory observatory
because I aggregate a community of
freelance professionals and entrepreneurs
and or even enterprising peoples
and resourcefulness a great thing no
why do not you sit but do some
what and then you’re not have much time for
complain about this since reading and
so poor in Italy should not also
teach the market I think you in
already part this with for books her
acknowledged to find new roads too
for disclosure that normally
he passes in the books absolutely watching
I like to read regardless or after
years I hated reading I had a
click moretto waterfall pro will want to learn
something more also because if you put
in at least one good idea a day e
365 of the year and this works in short
see the world in a different way
you know and the problem is that reading is seen
with a very pallid thing also for
think of the university I have done law and
you forced them to read texts
boring of administrative law
civil procedures and or at school i
promised beautiful spouses for charity but
the way in which it is transmitted to you
reading is is a must is a stuff that
you need to do
what balls here is a bit of the
concept what I see, however, is that if
you can make people passionate
some concepts then instinctively go
to deepen them then they can read
they can watch videos we can do
I’m online can go meet
the authors can go and see them
he asked, that is, they can do what
they want
to the thousand tools but you have to find one
key that involves people and is not
forcing someone or saying this
this is the only way because everyone of
we learn differently and this is not
a little the challenge is not easy though
possible
[Music]
[Music]
in this my interviews I try to
rewind the tape to redeem from
child to understand today we understand that
but still great but what was there
what if today in the child
The baby’s montemagno was the most
pale idea
I do not know if I started playing
ping pong at 9 and a cepim po
less is a game instead of sport too
Olympic because I started nine years e
I started taking her more and more from
professional and then the last three years
years I played as a professional and
this means you in the evening while
Friday ‘s friends come out and you instead
must go to bed because in the morning
after tournament fan for which you begin to do
of the choices that impact on the
your character
for that individual sport the concept
of the sacrifice clearly impact
positively negative for which you are
more social if more closed, that is, it is all
a number of aspects to consider though
certainly that was perhaps
the impact the biggest impact on the
rest was a good child forever
place how much it turns from my mom
about mothers with parents
instead the lesson you found more
determining the example if you want me to
arrived from the family that you have
found more more right for you
I think it’s an important point to have
trust yourself then regardless of
regardless of what you want to do in
this I have to say my mom is always
been very so confident with respect to
what I could do without
know what I could do though
has always had this leave you space
jerez is absolutely for example
my homework did not control my homework
He knew I was responsible for the years
but this has certainly been one
I look very very positive eco trust
vicequestore trust is present with the
it makes the difference
you have chosen the type of studies
that you would have done to their fact the
classic enough forced
because mathematics was quite denied
and there were not many other roads
then at that moment you know I talk about
25 years old I am 46 years old this year and then
law I can not tell you maybe I had seen
these films where there was the prince of the
the hole I would have done is that the studies of
lawyers and then maybe I said
Wind from the lawyer and I liked
this idea of making the causes to
multinationals
what did you get from there in the mario mountain of
today of that world there of volumes of
right what you have left but certainly
it was useful because in any case you know
study law and study type hexagons
administrative civil procedures
criminal or I then did a year and a half
I qualified as a patron
so the tar e are fired
all these things here I did the thesis
to the consumer association for which
I was doing something and I also liked it
here is doing this kind of activity since
theoretical point of view then how many clashes
against in practice day by day reality
of the courts instead is a stuff that does not
it’s for me, but I certainly remained
a concept that is then the same one
of the sport of application of
discipline
there is an author who is a former navis the game
willis that says discipline and freedom
that is a bit paradoxical if you think about it because
one of civilians instead is so if you have
ability to be disciplined yes
they open a thousand horizons and as if a
artist says I have no discipline to paint
anyway what not in reality ie you have
need discipline what are the
boundaries limits and then in these limits
I have to create my own work and that same one
what we saw the studies then is a
certain point
of your life also entry in some
way in the world of work as I have
started to work as a ping player
pong that sounds like a series
I will evaluate the truth is that for me it was a
work therefore paid the bills by playing
ping pong a team calls you and says
watch these games if you win
take this money if you lose two there
they already earn some earnings too
but two liras we say to something
well then he gave lessons when after
deposits
if I have to pay for something from an election
is that you become billionaires staley understood and
play five hours with giving lessons that
it was also a nice thing after a while
but it’s quite frustrating, not if you
you’ve been a strong player think of
to have been a strong player then you
put it there and if you do not want to be a coach
in your life clearly a compromise
that makes so I started this way in reality
immediately and then I started doing
practiced and that instead the practitioner
300 euros a month a thing like that there
I understood that it really was not the evening
from financially viable it is
because I started there and then
started doing a thousand other things
here is a thousand of these are the first
went to work for a cad
electrotechnical
in the cordero always because when me
called this this friend that for another
table tennis player this
company told me we say after the period
as a practicing lawyer arrived
point he just said it can not be
more
it is not my job not to do
the lawyer who always claims to lie
I’m not good at doing both
in this balance I call myself
they will follow you have been good as
player I would certainly be good at doing
marketing from me and I said look no
I know what a computer is just 0
I had no idea what a computer was
and I know nothing about marketing so I
I make the law is not that I do and he
on the other hand, if it does not have nothing but a
mind you have to study and I remember that
he starts working at his place in September and
it was mid-July August
I remember that I stayed at gallarate where
I used to study books, what is a
computer I do not know what a font is
marketing that these things are here then
thus started to make type marks in
I have done them many other things, not really
there is a marketing I did the stands
ensign ships there to say that we must
put on the fair stand
or the free software boxes
gorgon sold the software in
then box to draw the box
of the software or you have to call e
try to make the agreement to put it
in stores or pr and then you put yourself
call journalists with day are marco
altimani we have wonderful software is
but let’s say it makes all that rundown
line world digital marketing marketing e
then the most technical part by webmaster
even bad was a bad web master
first success instead of this
world that then is also yours today
block spheres or there was something already
bulls for me actually even though it was
a resounding failure, however, has
launched a lot of projects mentioned
nobody knows the existence floppa you
poorly
but for me a first sign that I have that
I saw that I understood that I could
doing something was a site that yes
called consume voice where in practice in
one was totally geologically different
I collected the complaints of people and them
I published on an internet page ai
times was not used lippi is that a
complaint did not pass from the call center era
unthinkable instead they picked up jump
complaint against a telephone company
I posted it on the website and then
he sent an email to the marketing director
with the company saying look there is a
complaint that concerns you if you want
answer
answer at least you can see to reclaim it with
the answer seemed like a good idea
today clearly something that happens
every day continually at the time is
stuff out of your mind
and yet it works in the sense of the people
he wrote there was pleasantness of service
the problem is that then the companies do not
they liked this for which more than you
nobody caga paid so he was there
business model there was nothing
but it’s the first time I had done it
one thing you do a site starts to see that
people arrive and there is movement and
he says wow this is not just behind
this screen can be born something
which then has an impact, not because you can
move people’s interest or
companies did not like companies and
so after a while he was forced
to close because at the time we do not know not
it will be admitted that there was a complaint
public and for which you say howard that
let’s sue
and in the end I’m fine
[Music]
[Music]
if then, certainly, no point arrives in til one
of many even a television face too
the important channels echo how do you do
this further the passage was already there
in the young mountains the idea of calculating the
stage to stand before one
camera honestly I can not tell you the
truth is that I once went to
london between my sister live and goes there and
I saw this chef who was called
jamie oliver is still very famous walnut
mioli gun and he is a program that is
he called the naked chef in practice
he explained to the singles how to cook that it was
a new thing
at the time we were there I remember the
lady will approve the fire maybe already
very first first engine was there
classic lady lady a certain age
that taught you from the kitchen this was
the kitchen is a single
man did not cook here, above all, one
Italian culture there is the mother cook
today however the times of genius changed
england introduced this concept
then spread the kitchen to the great
public this break the cut then
Seeing I said it, you know what I do
I’d like to do stuff like that
where I disclose the computer to computer science
to the general public and left sky ai
own time in Italy at the beginning
left sky and I remember he succeeded
make this contact with the
director who emilio carelli through mine
mom who had done a job with con
he had put in contact and stared at me
an appointment and I remember that I went
down in Rome to talk with him
he was submerged he was throwing the
channel those imagined ie there was not
nothing in the core I got
the secretary of if you look here will be there
the news on sky tg24 was there
huge empty room
nothing says in a week
let’s go on the air as you do I do not know you
I remember entering this room of the
his mega submerged office of papers
he messed up the dark circles
crazy and essentially did a favor
to put me in mom telling families
to your son and I went up hello
I would like to make a transmission ago
speak five minutes and then say thank you
we are not interested in the end of the meeting
and then wow did not go well and that
since I was a fan of the wings of the
freedom that was this shawshank movie
redemption are very nice where it was supposed to
in prison and at some point he
asked to bring to reopen the
bookstores in the prison kept saying
no and when he got the first nodes he knows
it’s great news because now it’s in place
to send a letter to the weekly
I send two
this should be enough
we can consider the question closed
please stop sending us the canvases
before the manager returns all
this stuff must disappear yes sir
[Music]
nice shot years
of course
[Music]
it took me under 6 years from now
then I will write two letters a week
instead of an andy it was a word
I begin to write two letters to the
week instead of 1959 the Senate
he finally realized that it was not enough
a simple check for $ 200 for
let it stop
the appropriations committee a
I found an annual loan of 500
dollars just to get rid of him
and then I started hammering better
that then today a friend in short every
week he sent him an email saying
no, but look, I saw this news
of interpre seen this other news
here he exasperated the pros after six months
he set another meeting he taught you in
university and if this meeting I go to
to meet him I wait two hours each time
in fact, as it is made to wait
two hours to understand in the waiting room is
doing the exams within also destroyed
it will always seem destroyed because
the robots were clearly submerged
constant I am always I am again
here
what does he want to do this
transmission where I explain and computer e
Italians and he makes me talk scene
the same we do not care, we do not do it
training we do information that for
me it was a somewhat confusing concept e
then going away but I was a bit too
fed up and then I told her though if it should be done
information yesterday you did not give this
news about a virus that came out one
of the first viruses that there was the period of
computer viruses and him as it was
extremely picky these things I
stopped immediately called the deputy director
ivano saying go, this is never true
night we gave the news
I have a new year, but look at me
he says okay it’s okay to comment on this
news the balti g in colonia has already been
on television you’ve ever been in
television had no idea anymore and
so to da cologno to comment type 40
seconds the news with the long hat
with the gel is a knot to the tie from
real estate seller started this way
I have to say that thing magically then
it worked I can not tell you because you know
then on television it works a lot
the first mails come in hand
this here because you do not talk more
these topics begin to
call a few more
spot connection and then the thing is
grown up grown over time
but it took seven years then
the end I did the news
a sky tg24 beautiful experience change
completely topic now is the
moment of internet planet with marco
montemagno
[Music]
good morning and welcome to the planet
internet like every saturday
hello nicola sulmona good morning marco
let’s talk about the first topic immediately
great news announced on its own
internet strategy from micro stop
what is it about
then live.com this is the name of the
project launched this week from
my point of view is essential for
what concerns microsoft belle
very ebook archive experiences
I emphasize for the boys who follow the
our project of excellence the
concept of educational history here past
so much is so pink inside
resilience if you want creativity
the fact of however also of succeeding i
carts write them down maybe your own
observation that that at that time
it made a difference to say I am very much
thankful best because it was
difficult to see people
meritocratic a person who has
in front of you must choose new ones
conductors of a news and he says so
according to his perception he does not capitulate
the usual games maybe Italian for which
I have to say
but given a big chance then usual
you know are networks like sky news corp
if it works well or else the next day if
in short, it’s not clear at home
so that business flights and all about the
the functions in function or have been cleared
functions if you do not have one more day not
there is indeed something that strikes me
once again there was a snowfall here
I do not know you remember mega years ago
snowfall and then block everything and me
I call saying, look, there’s a problem
because I do not know how to get to Rome and me
remember he told me, look if you want to do it
continuous transmission transmission
come find the way to get if not
otherwise we do not transmit short
and then be a few from the station
central there were three strongholds andai
I had done that agent stop less than 7
milan hours rome all standing up
fermi was the only three hours to leave after 7
hours I arrived for another transmission
You know it’s right that it be so if you want
to have results you can not think of that
you want to be champions of the hockey world
should read dreams carnino when talking
of the motivators who are not, but if you want you can
no if you want you can nothing, that is at the end
just need to do then there are those who do it and
he does it but what is the secret of the leicester
who won the premier league 5100 i
give an impossible undertaking but if the
answer was simply that it is
the question is wrong but if this
damn answer was simply
that you have to work on it but with commitments to
point to make it become yours
second part if the deficiency really
was not a lack of opportunity but
was a lack of ethics in the work of
ethics of the pedica commitment
sacrifice would not be all the more
simple
the leicester would never have won the
premier league without a powerful action
without getting the deck while everyone
these are great strategies
pedaled and remains a moment however in
this television journey for many
it could be the point of arrival that
imagine conductor for life
and maybe make a career in that area
it was not like that for you
after seven years when he changed the
direction of sky tg24 closed the
so transmission had been for me
maybe I would have gone on yet
and instead in that case the new direction
and said no we do not care internet not
it’s a stuff that interests
all right
but let’s say the one then united with the fact
that I moved to England
he also gave a mandatory condition
where at the beginning I had in mind only
television even when it was in
England I said or did seven years
a transmission in Italy
I go here the bbc I introduce you and I say
here I am, that is where we start from
tell me tomorrow or the day after tomorrow
while trusting if instead going to do
a chat with a company
connected the living yes I did talk
very English very kind explained I know
we are not used to that kindness
formal English I thought to put
on finished sail
and then just finished so that said wow
I think I do not do television
which england then you know with the accent
Italian there are conditions unless
that makes the cook and 6
I do not know anything about it then
like 100 Italian otherwise
on innovation, however, this does not have me
po obliged to reinvent me and say ok
now what I do and the second
consideration if it is not important that
if you are a mentality entrepreneur
you do not want to work for someone
you want to be in my case I did not want to
work for a media that decides to
turn on or off my transmission
based on your evaluations
maybe just right but maybe it has nothing to do
nothing with mine
I wanted to become a media that one
totally different thing and today you can
become a media there is an old book
gilmore nodes with media of many years ago
today you have this possibility and in
effects to the many media more than 60 pairs
millions of subscribers to his channel
youtube
increases in Italy is an average
you can become an average with the agreement of
Match things to create great
content that aggregates a community of
end people is just so easy the
theoretical concept the difficult part
the application create those contents
know how to move on all these
platforms that change every
nanosecond and succeed in having this
in English it’s called night rest not
resound with the right ropes of the
people and maybe some manage to do it
making funny videos
others maybe do it by doing the understood
magician who makes videos where you are amazed
aggregate those interested with
the topic those of the fano gameplay
gameplay content more people than
more adult business is more difficult though
I can tell you right now
aggregated one and a half million more or less
of people among the various social networks for which it is
feasible is not easy but it is feasible
but first you had imagined
wanting to become a media is good
Just come up with the antennas and do it
television in competition mediaset alla
rai here is this or go to rai1 rai2
rai3 and italy1
5 netfour end were those six places
available with the logics that well
we know about these places available
that has nothing to do with meritocracy
different logics
today, however, you say I do not care
that world there
the focus has shifted to the mobile phone
and I’m average on this medium here one
time the goal was to go online for
then disembark on television
today instead as casey neistat points out
which is one of the most famous bloggers at
world
the goal is to stay online in fact
less interesting to go back to television
if you think of a transmission that
maybe it makes 150 thousand and 150 thousand visitors
as a public in episode that maybe speaks
of technology innovation
if I do them on video I close in the sense
these numbers are few for me
it’s a bit of what has changed and it’s one
Big chance
and on this thing that just said here
how much counts the numbers count only i
numbers or there is also space for those for
a sort of super niche inside
of the web also super imagined
to have a newsletter and subscribers
the newsletters are bill gates obama
charlie munger the Pope at this point ai
four members but those four
members shift the fate of the planet
so you have absolute and imagined
any company would sponsor the
your newsletter not knowing that the
they read question if you find the right one
that
is willing to pay for a problem that
it’s urgent
at that point you have no problem is not a
made of numbers that in fact of the channels
youtube that have big numbers but they are
difficult to monetize because they are
maybe shaved nests 12 years 11 years that
but they do not even have the chance to
spend or do not have this logic here
they are there just for fun
success is what damage your idea of
success I like the definition a bit
of john wooden that this coach of
historic basketball when he says that the
success is that peace of mind that
it derives from the knowledge that you did everything
possible to become who you can
become that way if you are every day
put your maximum effort to search
to aspire to what may be yours
best level then maybe you do not get there
never but this is irrelevant this
helps you and above all from your own
definition of failure compared to the
others to understand what happened
or compare the standard categories of
success is the recipe for the chasm no
because then maybe you like it and what do I know
stay in senigallia on the beach to drink
Verdicchio and another like it instead
train like crazy and it’s connor
mcgregor and he likes going to the gym
he gave a lot of sticks, each one evaluates
its the important thing that it is not
aware of what he wants and you
you do it for a job, I ask you though
how much today is important and the
market demand that a little all there
put the face from who produces the
caciotta in the suburbs to anyone else
this is how important it is in some way
put your face in your business
in his own story for me the theme of
personal brand a fundamental theme
take it mask that is the mas that obviously
a phenomenon like
takeover however has built in this
moment two companies tesla spaces
forget about the undue themes
unduly, however, the brand that
he created is a very strong based king
on his personal credibility, that is, a
sir who comes and says you want
buy a car in advance
I send in a year and a half maybe because
maybe then we are late and the
pre-ordered today is the car will be like this
there is not that car yet and it sells 75
thousand cars in pre-order so it’s all
based on personal brahim today you know
that makes the difference trump is a brand
staff take any kind of
business
you have a great impact as well you can
choose that there is not a brand
personal, however, lend the side instead of
who creates it, let’s make an example
if you are a magician rapper in Italy and
chastity and this guy collects a
lot of numbers the moment you have
this credibility then he can tomorrow
sell shoes and compete nike
in depends on the numbers you have and the
level of involvement pro ago
difference today very latest question on the
our project is for you
excellence and how important it is that
This country continues to stay on this
theme and respect for the global challenge
excellence and coincides with success if
you have this effort approach
continuous improvement of fact you’re going for
following your excellence
then I repeat the fact that you reach yours
your perfection never reaches her
nobody will ever be you every time
reach your new level of
excellence then you’re looking for the next one
so it never stops
it’s not like you ‘re ever perfect at work
you can never be perfect super
excellent though if one tells me looks at i
next five minutes from what ever
excellence is a bit funny but here
there is the tour
the golden state warriors neither going to
win the ring of MBAs because they are
always perfect they never lose no it’s a
lots of times they have a lot of
workouts that maybe not little girls but
the set of many five minutes of
ambition to perfection what
at the end it brings the final result yes
hopes, however, Italy has a huge chance
because in the parameters but there is a love for
Italy abroad incredible when
I am England that every two minutes of
c.da toscani toscani tosca is the wine la
pasta and fashion whatever is enough
that will beats this wonderful italy
see pants maybe a slice for
which is this enormous enormous chance
often it is underestimated here is more useful
bridge between Italy and the rest of the world
more communication, for example, in China
I’m going to China soon and I was talking to someone
some of the new Chinese shaven there
they do not know and made in italy and for which
if you do not have to buy a car tomorrow morning
buy the ferrari buy tesla for which
this is the big problem that is a
communication problem
But Italy has always been a potential
huge to understand then with one will exploit
thanks marco for staying with me
we hope to find you soon with prandini
[Music]
many many many excellence is i
next five minutes
what do you plan to do in the next five
minutes Italian excellences history of
courage, passion and identity of Italy
that is worth
[Music]
and the next five minutes
[Music]
marco montemagno and one of the faces and the
most known voices on the web meanwhile for one
incredible number of videos that places
practically one a day here I was leaving
just from which I would like to ask you how
does it post a video every day to not
risk to say my jumper
provocation on one side e
inevitably to the of the contents that
some work more than other functions
less depends on what you’re talking about
if you talk about something you know and what
make every day a thousand ideas
if one is a tennis player at that
point and talk about tennis and every day a
thousand declensions that you can find for
which is more a matter of curiosity he had
curiosity and focus on noticing
have reflections that arise
spontaneous from your life of all
days
if you had to prepare for it instead
make me some day they won home
yet the fear a bit that that the
public also we also hear those who work
in this area that could be for
go back to one of your video pill
all fuffa nod how do you do
understand instead that that just the
digital the web world all that
it is moving in innovation and
instead the most absolute concreteness of the
world that street but I look
exclusively made given the results of the
theories always interest you very little
because then we are full of opinionists
that they never want to understand are
only interested maybe to criticize
without having done anything but it is this
a problem for which you root stupid center
you make a video maybe on roger federer
the greatest tennis player in history
go read the comments of the people who
says ah no, but federer scarce but how
this has won you 20 titles of the great
slam for which on one side there is a large
theory and little practicality of people
on the other side, you must see
the real influence of what you do
online
take
one of the 100 million kardashian sisters
of followers on instagram lancia
a company of cosmetic products and makes
430 million turnover in 18 months
that’s not a theory this is not it
understood it has an opinion that is a given
in fact for whom today communicates well
online to a big impact eco more
trace an example
last year’s book was the
My best-selling business book of the
2017 and I made a post saying here it is
ready my book code mind yes in the
when you have a community that you
then that community follows then
it moves accordingly to an impact
huge bluish still this new
they see it bought in motorway restaurants
gianna and of what he talks to our book
blood sweat and tears sweat
working and digital tears
the most pallid argument for the universe
already worth 12 montemari title of
attraction great attention because
not even a little find it for many but not
for all, not for the port of Puglia for
almost nobody but not for everyone
your job also allows you to
have a particular observatory
in terms of response also seen i
numbers of answers you have
here is the cuts to delhi from there respect
to the theme that you treat I see different
italie and always this I work in
the tech industry I’m an entrepreneur in
digital world in the digital world six
full of amazing people in Italy
launching companies projects in
any situation in any one
condition
despite Italy, so this is it
an Italy that has always been there and is in
great growth
then the problem you see is that if you go
to reach large numbers and then do
maybe videos that make millions of
views on more mass topics you
you see
let’s say the widespread illiteracy here
so you understand when they come out
statistics where maybe the average Italian
read a book a year see here in the
sense that sometimes from the comments you understand
that people are not that do not understand
the topic does not understand Italian
so there is a huge problem from that
point of view and then I see also
this is the Italian mass sometimes you
it leaves you puzzled again for how much
the level of backwardness that exists
some biases on some topics
but overall mine
lucky conservatory observatory
because I aggregate a community of
freelance professionals and entrepreneurs
and or even enterprising peoples
and resourcefulness a great thing no
why do not you sit but do some
what and then you’re not have much time for
complain about this since reading and
so poor in Italy should not also
teach the market I think you in
already part this with for books her
acknowledged to find new roads too
for disclosure that normally
he passes in the books absolutely watching
I like to read regardless or after
years I hated reading I had a
click moretto waterfall pro will want to learn
something more also because if you put
in at least one good idea a day e
365 of the year and this works in short
see the world in a different way
you know and the problem is that reading is seen
with a very pallid thing also for
think of the university I have done law and
you forced them to read texts
boring of administrative law
civil procedures and or at school i
promised beautiful spouses for charity but
the way in which it is transmitted to you
reading is is a must is a stuff that
you need to do
what balls here is a bit of the
concept what I see, however, is that if
you can make people passionate
some concepts then instinctively go
to deepen them then they can read
they can watch videos we can do
I’m online can go meet
the authors can go and see them
he asked, that is, they can do what
they want
to the thousand tools but you have to find one
key that involves people and is not
forcing someone or saying this
this is the only way because everyone of
we learn differently and this is not
a little the challenge is not easy though
possible
[Music]
[Music]
in this my interviews I try to
rewind the tape to redeem from
child to understand today we understand that
but still great but what was there
what if today in the child
The baby’s montemagno was the most
pale idea
I do not know if I started playing
ping pong at 9 and a cepim po
less is a game instead of sport too
Olympic because I started nine years e
I started taking her more and more from
professional and then the last three years
years I played as a professional and
this means you in the evening while
Friday ‘s friends come out and you instead
must go to bed because in the morning
after tournament fan for which you begin to do
of the choices that impact on the
your character
for that individual sport the concept
of the sacrifice clearly impact
positively negative for which you are
more social if more closed, that is, it is all
a number of aspects to consider though
certainly that was perhaps
the impact the biggest impact on the
rest was a good child forever
place how much it turns from my mom
about mothers with parents
instead the lesson you found more
determining the example if you want me to
arrived from the family that you have
found more more right for you
I think it’s an important point to have
trust yourself then regardless of
regardless of what you want to do in
this I have to say my mom is always
been very so confident with respect to
what I could do without
know what I could do though
has always had this leave you space
jerez is absolutely for example
my homework did not control my homework
He knew I was responsible for the years
but this has certainly been one
I look very very positive eco trust
vicequestore trust is present with the
it makes the difference
you have chosen the type of studies
that you would have done to their fact the
classic enough forced
because mathematics was quite denied
and there were not many other roads
then at that moment you know I talk about
25 years old I am 46 years old this year and then
law I can not tell you maybe I had seen
these films where there was the prince of the
the hole I would have done is that the studies of
lawyers and then maybe I said
Wind from the lawyer and I liked
this idea of making the causes to
multinationals
what did you get from there in the mario mountain of
today of that world there of volumes of
right what you have left but certainly
it was useful because in any case you know
study law and study type hexagons
administrative civil procedures
criminal or I then did a year and a half
I qualified as a patron
so the tar e are fired
all these things here I did the thesis
to the consumer association for which
I was doing something and I also liked it
here is doing this kind of activity since
theoretical point of view then how many clashes
against in practice day by day reality
of the courts instead is a stuff that does not
it’s for me, but I certainly remained
a concept that is then the same one
of the sport of application of
discipline
there is an author who is a former navis the game
willis that says discipline and freedom
that is a bit paradoxical if you think about it because
one of civilians instead is so if you have
ability to be disciplined yes
they open a thousand horizons and as if a
artist says I have no discipline to paint
anyway what not in reality ie you have
need discipline what are the
boundaries limits and then in these limits
I have to create my own work and that same one
what we saw the studies then is a
certain point
of your life also entry in some
way in the world of work as I have
started to work as a ping player
pong that sounds like a series
I will evaluate the truth is that for me it was a
work therefore paid the bills by playing
ping pong a team calls you and says
watch these games if you win
take this money if you lose two there
they already earn some earnings too
but two liras we say to something
well then he gave lessons when after
deposits
if I have to pay for something from an election
is that you become billionaires staley understood and
play five hours with giving lessons that
it was also a nice thing after a while
but it’s quite frustrating, not if you
you’ve been a strong player think of
to have been a strong player then you
put it there and if you do not want to be a coach
in your life clearly a compromise
that makes so I started this way in reality
immediately and then I started doing
practiced and that instead the practitioner
300 euros a month a thing like that there
I understood that it really was not the evening
from financially viable it is
because I started there and then
started doing a thousand other things
here is a thousand of these are the first
went to work for a cad
electrotechnical
in the cordero always because when me
called this this friend that for another
table tennis player this
company told me we say after the period
as a practicing lawyer arrived
point he just said it can not be
more
it is not my job not to do
the lawyer who always claims to lie
I’m not good at doing both
in this balance I call myself
they will follow you have been good as
player I would certainly be good at doing
marketing from me and I said look no
I know what a computer is just 0
I had no idea what a computer was
and I know nothing about marketing so I
I make the law is not that I do and he
on the other hand, if it does not have nothing but a
mind you have to study and I remember that
he starts working at his place in September and
it was mid-July August
I remember that I stayed at gallarate where
I used to study books, what is a
computer I do not know what a font is
marketing that these things are here then
thus started to make type marks in
I have done them many other things, not really
there is a marketing I did the stands
ensign ships there to say that we must
put on the fair stand
or the free software boxes
gorgon sold the software in
then box to draw the box
of the software or you have to call e
try to make the agreement to put it
in stores or pr and then you put yourself
call journalists with day are marco
altimani we have wonderful software is
but let’s say it makes all that rundown
line world digital marketing marketing e
then the most technical part by webmaster
even bad was a bad web master
first success instead of this
world that then is also yours today
block spheres or there was something already
bulls for me actually even though it was
a resounding failure, however, has
launched a lot of projects mentioned
nobody knows the existence floppa you
poorly
but for me a first sign that I have that
I saw that I understood that I could
doing something was a site that yes
called consume voice where in practice in
one was totally geologically different
I collected the complaints of people and them
I published on an internet page ai
times was not used lippi is that a
complaint did not pass from the call center era
unthinkable instead they picked up jump
complaint against a telephone company
I posted it on the website and then
he sent an email to the marketing director
with the company saying look there is a
complaint that concerns you if you want
answer
answer at least you can see to reclaim it with
the answer seemed like a good idea
today clearly something that happens
every day continually at the time is
stuff out of your mind
and yet it works in the sense of the people
he wrote there was pleasantness of service
the problem is that then the companies do not
they liked this for which more than you
nobody caga paid so he was there
business model there was nothing
but it’s the first time I had done it
one thing you do a site starts to see that
people arrive and there is movement and
he says wow this is not just behind
this screen can be born something
which then has an impact, not because you can
move people’s interest or
companies did not like companies and
so after a while he was forced
to close because at the time we do not know not
it will be admitted that there was a complaint
public and for which you say howard that
let’s sue
and in the end I’m fine
[Music]
[Music]
if then, certainly, no point arrives in til one
of many even a television face too
the important channels echo how do you do
this further the passage was already there
in the young mountains the idea of calculating the
stage to stand before one
camera honestly I can not tell you the
truth is that I once went to
london between my sister live and goes there and
I saw this chef who was called
jamie oliver is still very famous walnut
mioli gun and he is a program that is
he called the naked chef in practice
he explained to the singles how to cook that it was
a new thing
at the time we were there I remember the
lady will approve the fire maybe already
very first first engine was there
classic lady lady a certain age
that taught you from the kitchen this was
the kitchen is a single
man did not cook here, above all, one
Italian culture there is the mother cook
today however the times of genius changed
england introduced this concept
then spread the kitchen to the great
public this break the cut then
Seeing I said it, you know what I do
I’d like to do stuff like that
where I disclose the computer to computer science
to the general public and left sky ai
own time in Italy at the beginning
left sky and I remember he succeeded
make this contact with the
director who emilio carelli through mine
mom who had done a job with con
he had put in contact and stared at me
an appointment and I remember that I went
down in Rome to talk with him
he was submerged he was throwing the
channel those imagined ie there was not
nothing in the core I got
the secretary of if you look here will be there
the news on sky tg24 was there
huge empty room
nothing says in a week
let’s go on the air as you do I do not know you
I remember entering this room of the
his mega submerged office of papers
he messed up the dark circles
crazy and essentially did a favor
to put me in mom telling families
to your son and I went up hello
I would like to make a transmission ago
speak five minutes and then say thank you
we are not interested in the end of the meeting
and then wow did not go well and that
since I was a fan of the wings of the
freedom that was this shawshank movie
redemption are very nice where it was supposed to
in prison and at some point he
asked to bring to reopen the
bookstores in the prison kept saying
no and when he got the first nodes he knows
it’s great news because now it’s in place
to send a letter to the weekly
I send two
this should be enough
we can consider the question closed
please stop sending us the canvases
before the manager returns all
this stuff must disappear yes sir
[Music]
nice shot years
of course
[Music]
it took me under 6 years from now
then I will write two letters a week
instead of an andy it was a word
I begin to write two letters to the
week instead of 1959 the Senate
he finally realized that it was not enough
a simple check for $ 200 for
let it stop
the appropriations committee a
I found an annual loan of 500
dollars just to get rid of him
and then I started hammering better
that then today a friend in short every
week he sent him an email saying
no, but look, I saw this news
of interpre seen this other news
here he exasperated the pros after six months
he set another meeting he taught you in
university and if this meeting I go to
to meet him I wait two hours each time
in fact, as it is made to wait
two hours to understand in the waiting room is
doing the exams within also destroyed
it will always seem destroyed because
the robots were clearly submerged
constant I am always I am again
here
what does he want to do this
transmission where I explain and computer e
Italians and he makes me talk scene
the same we do not care, we do not do it
training we do information that for
me it was a somewhat confusing concept e
then going away but I was a bit too
fed up and then I told her though if it should be done
information yesterday you did not give this
news about a virus that came out one
of the first viruses that there was the period of
computer viruses and him as it was
extremely picky these things I
stopped immediately called the deputy director
ivano saying go, this is never true
night we gave the news
I have a new year, but look at me
he says okay it’s okay to comment on this
news the balti g in colonia has already been
on television you’ve ever been in
television had no idea anymore and
so to da cologno to comment type 40
seconds the news with the long hat
with the gel is a knot to the tie from
real estate seller started this way
I have to say that thing magically then
it worked I can not tell you because you know
then on television it works a lot
the first mails come in hand
this here because you do not talk more
these topics begin to
call a few more
spot connection and then the thing is
grown up grown over time
but it took seven years then
the end I did the news
a sky tg24 beautiful experience change
completely topic now is the
moment of internet planet with marco
montemagno
[Music]
good morning and welcome to the planet
internet like every saturday
hello nicola sulmona good morning marco
let’s talk about the first topic immediately
great news announced on its own
internet strategy from micro stop
what is it about
then live.com this is the name of the
project launched this week from
my point of view is essential for
what concerns microsoft belle
very ebook archive experiences
I emphasize for the boys who follow the
our project of excellence the
concept of educational history here past
so much is so pink inside
resilience if you want creativity
the fact of however also of succeeding i
carts write them down maybe your own
observation that that at that time
it made a difference to say I am very much
thankful best because it was
difficult to see people
meritocratic a person who has
in front of you must choose new ones
conductors of a news and he says so
according to his perception he does not capitulate
the usual games maybe Italian for which
I have to say
but given a big chance then usual
you know are networks like sky news corp
if it works well or else the next day if
in short, it’s not clear at home
so that business flights and all about the
the functions in function or have been cleared
functions if you do not have one more day not
there is indeed something that strikes me
once again there was a snowfall here
I do not know you remember mega years ago
snowfall and then block everything and me
I call saying, look, there’s a problem
because I do not know how to get to Rome and me
remember he told me, look if you want to do it
continuous transmission transmission
come find the way to get if not
otherwise we do not transmit short
and then be a few from the station
central there were three strongholds andai
I had done that agent stop less than 7
milan hours rome all standing up
fermi was the only three hours to leave after 7
hours I arrived for another transmission
You know it’s right that it be so if you want
to have results you can not think of that
you want to be champions of the hockey world
should read dreams carnino when talking
of the motivators who are not, but if you want you can
no if you want you can nothing, that is at the end
just need to do then there are those who do it and
he does it but what is the secret of the leicester
who won the premier league 5100 i
give an impossible undertaking but if the
answer was simply that it is
the question is wrong but if this
damn answer was simply
that you have to work on it but with commitments to
point to make it become yours
second part if the deficiency really
was not a lack of opportunity but
was a lack of ethics in the work of
ethics of the pedica commitment
sacrifice would not be all the more
simple
the leicester would never have won the
premier league without a powerful action
without getting the deck while everyone
these are great strategies
pedaled and remains a moment however in
this television journey for many
it could be the point of arrival that
imagine conductor for life
and maybe make a career in that area
it was not like that for you
after seven years when he changed the
direction of sky tg24 closed the
so transmission had been for me
maybe I would have gone on yet
and instead in that case the new direction
and said no we do not care internet not
it’s a stuff that interests
all right
but let’s say the one then united with the fact
that I moved to England
he also gave a mandatory condition
where at the beginning I had in mind only
television even when it was in
England I said or did seven years
a transmission in Italy
I go here the bbc I introduce you and I say
here I am, that is where we start from
tell me tomorrow or the day after tomorrow
while trusting if instead going to do
a chat with a company
connected the living yes I did talk
very English very kind explained I know
we are not used to that kindness
formal English I thought to put
on finished sail
and then just finished so that said wow
I think I do not do television
which england then you know with the accent
Italian there are conditions unless
that makes the cook and 6
I do not know anything about it then
like 100 Italian otherwise
on innovation, however, this does not have me
po obliged to reinvent me and say ok
now what I do and the second
consideration if it is not important that
if you are a mentality entrepreneur
you do not want to work for someone
you want to be in my case I did not want to
work for a media that decides to
turn on or off my transmission
based on your evaluations
maybe just right but maybe it has nothing to do
nothing with mine
I wanted to become a media that one
totally different thing and today you can
become a media there is an old book
gilmore nodes with media of many years ago
today you have this possibility and in
effects to the many media more than 60 pairs
millions of subscribers to his channel
youtube
increases in Italy is an average
you can become an average with the agreement of
Match things to create great
content that aggregates a community of
end people is just so easy the
theoretical concept the difficult part
the application create those contents
know how to move on all these
platforms that change every
nanosecond and succeed in having this
in English it’s called night rest not
resound with the right ropes of the
people and maybe some manage to do it
making funny videos
others maybe do it by doing the understood
magician who makes videos where you are amazed
aggregate those interested with
the topic those of the fano gameplay
gameplay content more people than
more adult business is more difficult though
I can tell you right now
aggregated one and a half million more or less
of people among the various social networks for which it is
feasible is not easy but it is feasible
but first you had imagined
wanting to become a media is good
Just come up with the antennas and do it
television in competition mediaset alla
rai here is this or go to rai1 rai2
rai3 and italy1
5 netfour end were those six places
available with the logics that well
we know about these places available
that has nothing to do with meritocracy
different logics
today, however, you say I do not care
that world there
the focus has shifted to the mobile phone
and I’m average on this medium here one
time the goal was to go online for
then disembark on television
today instead as casey neistat points out
which is one of the most famous bloggers at
world
the goal is to stay online in fact
less interesting to go back to television
if you think of a transmission that
maybe it makes 150 thousand and 150 thousand visitors
as a public in episode that maybe speaks
of technology innovation
if I do them on video I close in the sense
these numbers are few for me
it’s a bit of what has changed and it’s one
Big chance
and on this thing that just said here
how much counts the numbers count only i
numbers or there is also space for those for
a sort of super niche inside
of the web also super imagined
to have a newsletter and subscribers
the newsletters are bill gates obama
charlie munger the Pope at this point ai
four members but those four
members shift the fate of the planet
so you have absolute and imagined
any company would sponsor the
your newsletter not knowing that the
they read question if you find the right one
that
is willing to pay for a problem that
it’s urgent
at that point you have no problem is not a
made of numbers that in fact of the channels
youtube that have big numbers but they are
difficult to monetize because they are
maybe shaved nests 12 years 11 years that
but they do not even have the chance to
spend or do not have this logic here
they are there just for fun
success is what damage your idea of
success I like the definition a bit
of john wooden that this coach of
historic basketball when he says that the
success is that peace of mind that
it derives from the knowledge that you did everything
possible to become who you can
become that way if you are every day
put your maximum effort to search
to aspire to what may be yours
best level then maybe you do not get there
never but this is irrelevant this
helps you and above all from your own
definition of failure compared to the
others to understand what happened
or compare the standard categories of
success is the recipe for the chasm no
because then maybe you like it and what do I know
stay in senigallia on the beach to drink
Verdicchio and another like it instead
train like crazy and it’s connor
mcgregor and he likes going to the gym
he gave a lot of sticks, each one evaluates
its the important thing that it is not
aware of what he wants and you
you do it for a job, I ask you though
how much today is important and the
market demand that a little all there
put the face from who produces the
caciotta in the suburbs to anyone else
this is how important it is in some way
put your face in your business
in his own story for me the theme of
personal brand a fundamental theme
take it mask that is the mas that obviously
a phenomenon like
takeover however has built in this
moment two companies tesla spaces
forget about the undue themes
unduly, however, the brand that
he created is a very strong based king
on his personal credibility, that is, a
sir who comes and says you want
buy a car in advance
I send in a year and a half maybe because
maybe then we are late and the
pre-ordered today is the car will be like this
there is not that car yet and it sells 75
thousand cars in pre-order so it’s all
based on personal brahim today you know
that makes the difference trump is a brand
staff take any kind of
business
you have a great impact as well you can
choose that there is not a brand
personal, however, lend the side instead of
who creates it, let’s make an example
if you are a magician rapper in Italy and
chastity and this guy collects a
lot of numbers the moment you have
this credibility then he can tomorrow
sell shoes and compete nike
in depends on the numbers you have and the
level of involvement pro ago
difference today very latest question on the
our project is for you
excellence and how important it is that
This country continues to stay on this
theme and respect for the global challenge
excellence and coincides with success if
you have this effort approach
continuous improvement of fact you’re going for
following your excellence
then I repeat the fact that you reach yours
your perfection never reaches her
nobody will ever be you every time
reach your new level of
excellence then you’re looking for the next one
so it never stops
it’s not like you ‘re ever perfect at work
you can never be perfect super
excellent though if one tells me looks at i
next five minutes from what ever
excellence is a bit funny but here
there is the tour
the golden state warriors neither going to
win the ring of MBAs because they are
always perfect they never lose no it’s a
lots of times they have a lot of
workouts that maybe not little girls but
the set of many five minutes of
ambition to perfection what
at the end it brings the final result yes
hopes, however, Italy has a huge chance
because in the parameters but there is a love for
Italy abroad incredible when
I am England that every two minutes of
c.da toscani toscani tosca is the wine la
pasta and fashion whatever is enough
that will beats this wonderful italy
see pants maybe a slice for
which is this enormous enormous chance
often it is underestimated here is more useful
bridge between Italy and the rest of the world
more communication, for example, in China
I’m going to China soon and I was talking to someone
some of the new Chinese shaven there
they do not know and made in italy and for which
if you do not have to buy a car tomorrow morning
buy the ferrari buy tesla for which
this is the big problem that is a
communication problem
But Italy has always been a potential
huge to understand then with one will exploit
thanks marco for staying with me
we hope to find you soon with prandini
[Music]
many many many excellence is i
next five minutes
what do you plan to do in the next five
minutes Italian excellences history of
courage, passion and identity of Italy
that is worth
