Diventa “AntiFragile”!

How do you react under pressure, under stress?
Usually one thinks about two categories of people:
fragile people and resistant people.
Now, come to think of it there is a third category,
which is the one that Taleb, author of the “Black Swan” – “The Black Swan”,
defines: anti-fragile, which is also the title of a book that he wrote a few years ago.
The anti-fragile interests us a cipher, why?
Because it is the opposite of fragile!
Under stress or under pressure, it is not limited to resisting, but it improves!
Let’s take an example: imagine one that runs in Formula1.
When it rains, unforeseen situation of tension and stress,
there are pilots that get worse …
A second category of riders will take turns …
“I go, I go, I go”.
A third category of pilots, however,
as soon as it starts to rain …
… go away like lippe.
They improve in difficulty, in stress, in the unpredictable.
Another example: you know I’ve been doing tons of events for many years now.
A great classic is: a speaker who comes to present something,
part to show the slides,
and the slides disappear for some reason.
Or not the pointer, or other unexpected problems.
Tell me in which category you return.
First category of speaker goes in total panic …
“mmh, a moment, sorry”.
Second category resists: “ok, let’s wait a moment …
as soon as the slides come back, let’s start again “.
A third category, on the other hand, enjoys the unexpected!
Because it’s the best time, it’s the moment where you have an opportunity to grow!
You can make a joke, you can ask for an applause for the direction!
For the technicians, because maybe they are messed up, and it’s a moment also to play down.
You can take advantage of it to tell a story;
you can take the opportunity to tell what is the agenda of the day!
You can do a thousand things!
The anti-brittle in the stressful situation is enhanced!
Train yourself to be anti-fragile …
it’s a great reference point, if you think about it!
Objective of the day: we become anti-fragile!
