we live in an amazing earth

growing up I was told you have to live
life in a certain way to make you you
have to fit in study hard in school get
a job get married have children just do
what they’re doing and you’ll be alright
but the moment you want to live your
dreams ignore your impulses and I
believe them I did exactly what they
said and it still didn’t work out we are
killing this planet and it’s up to us as
human beings to make a choice before
it’s too late
we slaughter animals without compassion
our foods are full of GMOs our tap water
full of fluoride we’ve got money for war
but we can’t feed the poor we post
pictures of ourselves on social media to
show how marvelous our life is but deep
down we’re hurting when you go to sleep
you’re thinking why do we need money we
have given away our power to the
government when we are the power but if
you can realize your power you start to
laugh you see that great things are
happening because you see the bigger
picture you’re not a color a race and
nationality a country you can’t own land
how can you own something
that was here before you if you don’t
like a job you don’t have to be there
you can go anywhere be anything do
anything the only thing holding you back
is you now you can choose to be a
prisoner of the past or a pioneer of the
future what will it be I could never
live up to the world’s expectations but
I thought I could no matter how hard I
tried something didn’t feel right but
like so many of us I just wanted to be
accepted not stand out earn lots of
money go to fancy clubs wear perfect
clothes and pretend I had a perfect life
not realizing I was living the perfect
lie but today this ends
why because I’m making a choice I’m
seeing the bigger picture to know what I
came here to do and that is to be free
that is to live in love that is to
connect with amazing people I’m not
gonna let the world stop me any longer
no I’m gonna just relax instead of
stressing myself out every single day
I’m gonna realize I’m worthy you’re worthy
