Why do great empires fall?

so today I want to speak to you about
the one word that we are taught to not
bring up in discussions whether there’s
business family dinner table because it
always leads to arguments and that is
politics right
you may right now kind of be listen to
this in saying I’m not cure I’m curious
which direction he’s gonna be gone with
this because every one of us has
experienced an argument with our spouse
you know brother sister family member
friend co-worker that’s led to sometimes
a division between the two people for a
while but I want you to look in a
different way here today I remember it
was June 2nd 1989 I’m in fifth grade at
a school called glue Benjy on in Iran
and we’re going to school and that day
was today when Ayatollah Khomeini died
on June 2nd 1989 one of the scariest
days of my life why because every parent
was trying to find their kids and it was
they couldn’t find the kids because
there was no phones it was not a you
know time with technology and we’re
looking for our parents while thousands
of men are marching and it was rights it
was one of was terrifying days of my
life and a few weeks later we escaped
Iran we went to Germany at a refugee
camp then we came to America why am I
telling you this story well for over
2,000 years the Persian Empire was a
Persian Empire for a long time the Great
Britain was a great Empire Roman Empire
Greek Empire there are a lot of great
empires that fell for a few different
reasons one of them was it was never
because the people became too powerful
it was never because the people became
too successful it was always because the
government became too successful too
powerful too much controlling and for
the lack of Education from the people’s
standpoint the less we know the better
it is so unless if you are planning on
building your own country which is a
book out there for kids I believe it is
so important for you and I to take the
time to study politics because Plato
once said those who believe it’s foolish
to study politics will be governed by
fools who do my challenge to you is
study a little bit of politics and you
clear because half these people that
represent us for public service we pay their salaries
