that I want to share something really
small we’re talking about family he was
just recognizing his incredible family
it just keeps growing and maybe they’ll
be a number four maybe not he keeps
bringing that up and there’s I’m going
to give you a quick little challenge
I come from an entrepreneurial
background which means what you’re busy
there’s a lot of time but there’s a way
that you can connect and there’s
something I did with Baily when she was
really really small she was only like
three years old but just starting to get
old enough to understand things when I
would leave in the morning I would say
to her hey I’m going to work because I
got a earned money to buy diapers and by
the time she was four I would say where
am I going I’m going to work turn money
to buy diapers okay
but I was trying to plant a seed with
her that work is not a trudge work as a
passion work is something I do it’s
exciting but there’s a purpose to it and
as she got older I would sit down and
talk to her saying I’ll always be there
on the important days for school but you
got to understand you go to this school
we live here and we do these things that
takes money and you make sacrifices and
you drive your career especially when
you follow passions and I always build
things into stories so here’s a
challenge connect your kids not with the
ham sorry I’ll see you on Sunday morning
we’ll go get frozen yogurt don’t connect
like that connect them with your purpose
hey what I’m going to do is to do things
so that we can do this vacation and we
can do this and we can do that connect
early connect early and share what’s
going on I tell her what’s going on in
in in in terms that she could understand
as a little girl and one day it all came
together and it was really kind of cool
how many of you get rings with new
colors right
how many of you have a lot of rings with
a lot of different colors laying around
now right well I had Vargas’s ring that
was going to be shipped back to have a
new color put in it because as we’ve
seen the girl fergus’s seemed to not
like colors you keep moving to the next
one I guess they get tired of the old
one they keep moving up to the next one
and she was looking remember I’m talking
about when you turned in the blue one
and I showed it to her and Bailey says
wow what a beautiful blue ring and of
course you look at the man’s one which
is roughly this big which is roughly
one-third the size of Vargas himself and
you know it’s huge it’s like Vargas yeah
a ring yeah sure
it’s right over here and she said that’s
really beautiful
can I have one I said no and it just was
a split second I said but you can earn
one he said how do I earn one how about
straight A’s next year fifth grade Chios
okay I said now remember we’re making a
deal here no straight A’s none so she
brings home the first quarter report
card and that kind of floated away from
me and she comes in she is I got
straight A’s and I said you did she says
so I’m gonna get my ring and I’m like
wow right so now good thing I didn’t
promise her a Porsche or something
right so I’m like oh I’m in and the
second quarter came and were straight
A’s again and there was a little point
on the end of it now it was like a 4.0 –
because you know kids get extra points
these days right a little advance you
know projects you can do extra points
and then third quarter came and then
fourth quarter came and she finished the
year 4.0 won seven straight A’s
and I have I have for you it says
straight-a student right and 4.01 seven
that’s got your name on it
and there you go oh and it’s a miracle
it’s Fitz right I knew sighs so there
you have it so here’s my challenge to
you my challenge to you is show your
children stories and connect them to the
purposes and the dreams that you have
and then make little dreams for them and
make them come true and bring the whole
circle together for your family thank

exhibit and so I’m gonna share it with
you about how there are three ways to
get to the penguin exhibit the first is
to buy take and go and see them anytime
you want the second is to have a dream
to become a veterinarian or zoologist
and fulfill it every day by getting
straight A’s and by the time you
graduate high school you have every
college in America to choose from so of
course you choose the best and once you
graduate that college with straight A’s
you have every zoo in America begging
for you to become their next zoologist
the third way is to do none of that in
fact you do nothing at all and once you
graduate high school no college will
accept you so you end up answering an ad
on Craigslist so you’re out there every
morning with a bucket and a broom
cleaning up the mess the Penguins have
but but recently my dad added one more
way to get to the penguin exhibit is to

money to own the zoo
