Why do the British drive on the left?

today we’re looking at the question why
do we drive on the wrong side of the
road well actually no you drive on the
wrong side of the road we drive on the
right side the left side not just the UK
India Australia southern Africa and the
Caribbean or drive on the left side of
the road why is this well to explain
this we need to go back in time to long
last time over and this road wasn’t
meant for cars it was meant for horses
my horse and I we’re making this long
journey down this road I don’t know if
I’m going to meet a friend or an enemy
but if an enemy does come I’m choosing
to stay on the left why the majority of
the population are right-handed and in
those days you would have had your sword
on the left hand side if someone comes
from this side and they’re not a friend
I want to be able to defend myself the
best way to do that being right-handed
is to have my sword on this side this
way the distance between us is it’s
easier to fight physically so it made
more common sense to stay on the left
thinking that chances are if someone
passes and they’re an enemy it will be
on your right-hand side that’s why you
stuck to the left but then in the early
days of colonization we Americans fall
suit we drove on the left with the Brits
but then after independence we decide to
drive on the right it kind of made it
cool
and since then Americans have driven on
the right and Fritz we still continue on
the left
why is that we just because we’re
ridiculous and stuff yeah yeah you are
hey you want to figure out yes a way
this gun now some gum
clean it
