Want & Won’t – Quick Pronunciation

welcome back to quick pronunciation
today’s lesson we’re looking at want and
won’t now if we don’t worry about the WN
T we only focus on the vowel sound
because that’s the only difference here
now we actually made a video about the
two different sounds in these two words
click on my belly to watch that but if
you can’t be bothered continue watching
we’ll explain anyway so in phonetics
it’s the difference between or and oh I
understand that many people have
problems with this so let’s practice oh
oh just make this shape or when I make
this sound
nothing changes shape in my mouth the
lips the teeth the tongue nothing moves
nothing changes
Oh in this one however everyone of you
can say Wow Wow
if you can say Wow then you can say whoa
oh if I exaggerate whoa Wow
say with me whoa take the end half of
that so it sounds like won’t won’t won’t
won’t ah want oh won’t let’s do an
example sentence with this I want to go
to the gym but I won’t you’ll also
notice that that sound is in oh go I
want to go to the gym but I won’t say
with me practice I want to go to the gym
but I won’t this is like my mantra every
day I want to but I won’t that’s all for
