Most Common Writing Mistakes – Spelling

this week on our series of writing
lessons we’re focusing on spelling now a
common mistake I see in spelling is when
people write GTH when there should be a
ght and a ght when there should be a G
th so to practice this you’ll need a pen
and paper go grab it I’ll wait here in
the cold I’ll be here when you get back

you have your pen and paper good okay
it’s a practice this you’re going to
make a list I’m going to give you one
minute write all the words you can think
of which end in ght you have one minute
all the words do you think of the end
with ght example night light those kind
of words okay you have one minute
starting now
fifteen seconds
five four three two one
longest minute ever okay so you probably
got words like light night might right
flight eight that ends in ght lots of
them right but now here’s a more tricky
one you have another minute this time
you’re going to make a list of words to
nmg th go
okay look I’m gonna give you 30 seconds
for two reasons one I’m freezing my
balls off here – there’s actually only
two words that end in G th and those
words are length and strength did you
get either of those probably though
doesn’t matter there are only two so if
you’re spelling if you’re writing
something and you’re trying to remember
it does it end in G th or ght think it’s
it length or strength then it ends in G
th if it’s not length or strength
it ends in ght see you in the next
