hi guys welcome back to another lesson
of how to get a British accent and
generally understand British people this
lesson we’re looking at do you and did
you and how to pronounce it with a
British accent
so did you we can pronounce it like
didja didja but both of them we can
pronounce like JA sounds very lazy it is
but we do say this sometimes so if we
can pronounce both like JA how do we
know whether it’s past or present well
you get it from the context usually with
words like last night we know it’s past
Jo video or usually we know it’s a
present simple do you jump again
so with do you want to go to a park
remember everything we’ve learned so far
how would you change this question
remembering that we can change 1 2 2 1
the whole question can be do you want to
go to a park do you want to go to a park
sure that’s fine but we can change it to
J you wanna go to a park did you go out
last night
remember we have a glottal T could be so
did you go out last night or did you go
out last night we could pronounce it
both ways pronounce both of them just
practice both of them where do you
usually go out good question it’s very
common maybe you’re new to an area you
want to know where do you usually go out
how would we pronounce that
where’d you usually go out where Joe
where Joe where do you usually go help
remember again we can pronounce that as
a glottal T or a true T so where do you
usually go out where do you usually go
out both are okay well done you’re
becoming more British keep going I’ll
see you in tomorrow’s class go get a cup
of tea or something
