every minute you make choices that can
change the outcome of your day making
the choice now might affect your
tomorrow today we’re going to look at
one students choices and her possible
future outcomes all I have to do is
break in through our uncle’s window to
show you wish me luck
you did Becky you’re nasty yeah I’m
staying on my creepy uncle’s place yeah
the one that had those grandma murders a
while back
apparently he’s still around I don’t
care if I see the grandma murderer I’m
gonna kick him in the nuts
Becky I’m gonna have to call you back
you
hello student welcome to puppet each me
hey where you going
Oh Oh YUM you know this is delicious
oh hello everybody today we’re going to
talk about the first conditional one is
the first conditional you ask good
question well as we saw from earlier
this student here she had two
possibilities with two future outcomes
if you take a look at the form we can
express this by having an if Clause plus
the present simple will or will not plus
the present simple
that’s an example shall we
hello student who are you talking to
where am I mister if you let me go I
promise I won’t tell anyone good example
she said if you let me go I won’t tell
anyone
we can use the first conditional to talk
about a high probability rate another
example if don’t study for this test you
will fail nobody likes it when you fail
hahaha are you even listening to me
we can also use the first conditional
with other modal verbs so for example
I may let you live if you’re a good
student as you saw in the last example
sentence use the future result first
with the present simple sentence second
you can do this with any of the
conditional sentences but remember you
don’t need to place a comma after the
first half of the sentence like so you
should let me go if you don’t want to be
in big trouble
one last sentence what are you going to
do try some example sentences for
yourself for the first conditional and
I’ll see you in the next class
she won’t though
