Strawberry & Blueberry Ice Lollies | Karis Layne

hi welcome to through tube I’m Karis I’m
from lick licks we hand make natural ice
lollies today I’m going to be telling
you all about how to make amazing
strawberry and blueberry lemonade ice
lollies they can be for the whole family
get the kids involved that’s super easy
to make but they look amazing the
perfect summer treat so first of all you
need to get your ice valley molds so
these are ones I’ve just grabbed online
they’re really cheap and super simple to
use you’re going to have 20 mils of
water okay that’s about right then
you’re going to get your squeezed lemon
juice make sure you roll your lemons
before you squeeze it out makes the
juice come out easier this is 65 mils
guys always try and use freshly squeezed
lemons because it makes the world of
difference okay and then we’ve got our
sugar 50 grams of sugar so next is your
strawberries I’ve got a little over 165
grams of strawberries here so they need
to be about this size because you need
to make sure they get all blended if you
put the whole strawberry in the blender
won’t be able to catch them they’ll be
too big so your strawberries are going
to go into your water fresh lemon and
sugar mixture I’m using a hand blender
but you can use a normal food processor
or a kitchen blender that you got at
home as long as it all Wizards it up
it’ll does the same job
all right that looks about right okay so
this is the kind of consistency that you
want guys so where the blueberries come
into the recipe is they’re actually
going to be whole blueberries so they
taste really nice frozen but they look
really cool in your lollies go for seven
in each mold first so pour in slowly try
not to dribble anywhere I’m going to
pour in not all the way to the top have
a look I think we could do with a few
more blueberries so I’m going to pop in
say for more remember the fill line that
you’re pouring to one okay so once you
finish pouring you want to make sure you
don’t get any stuck in the corners cuz
then you’ll just get air bubbles can you
see the air bubble here and here so you
just need to give that another stir look
there we go okay good to go with the
tops to make the stick stay what you can
do is to put your card on and then you
can poke holes in the card and you can
stick the sticks through so now we’re
going to put them in the freezer for
about six hours minimum but personally
I’d do it overnight and then good to go
in the morning okay so the lollies have
had about six hours now I’m going to
take them out what you’re going to do
first is you’re going to take the card
off so gently does it just shimmy it off
mmm see how the blueberries come through
they’re gonna look really cool so what
I’ve got here is just a water bath hot
water from the tap and they’re just
gonna loosen the lollies so you can pop
them out one to three seconds
let’s try jiggle it here we go oh they
look good
remember you can change the blueberries
with raspberries if your kids don’t like
blueberries let’s give it a try really
good really lemony really fresh guys
make sure you try and make these they’re
super easy to make and then leave me any
comments or questions below I’ll
definitely get back to you also if you
