MY BRILLIANT BREAKFAST! | #JamiesSuperFood | Daily Jamie

so the next recipe we’re going to do is
a little breakfast I have to be honest
I’m not very good at breakfast I’m
always out so quick it’s carnage in my
household there’s kids everywhere school
bags homework it’s just it’s a nightmare
breakfast is so important I’m gonna jam
a dish with Laura and nutritionists I’m
gonna call it three-minute super oats
and we’re not making porridge but we are
using oats um so Laura give me a little
rundown on oats these are whole
flattened oats have a look at this
little beta glucan in them which is
really good for helping reduce
cholesterol lower risk strokes they
haven’t been highly processed you know
so I think that you know I think they’re
a little bit better they got great
flavor fennel seeds whole just a little
pinch or teaspoon right if you’ve never
used these before it’s just a little pop
pop pop of flavor that just kind of
wakes up I think one of the biggest
crimes in the last 40 years is this kind
of orrible kind of junk food ii cereal
attitude good glug glug
rubbish yo cereal the truth has started
to come out and actually cereal is great
if it’s clean and pure if it’s loaded
with sugar and sugar and sugar it’s just
not great you only need two minutes in a
pan like this I’m also going to put a
little handful of coconut you can get
this lovely shredded coconut it’s not
desiccated so there’s no sugar on it
it’s just natural but just a little
pinch is gorgeous and it’s starting to
smell like breakfast now really really
nice that already started to toast up to
on to turn that off now you can see it’s
got a nice and dark put them on a plate
you can smell the coconut amazing let’s
just put that there for a second I need
to back this up so we want it to kind of
complement blueberries gorgeous now I’m
hoping these are really good for you
because my lot love it I’m just going to
put these blueberries just half upon it
goes into a pan and the juice is the
natural juices will come out you see and
vibrating just on the heat it’s crazy
look at their changing color
you have a new diet the lower chances
getting things like cancer now what you
can do if you want is I’ve turned the
heat off on this pan I’m just going to
add a little water encourage these
little blueberries to just bust a little
bit I’m I could turn the heat on again
now get them going you’re getting that
natural kind of crumbly cobbler like
sort of stickiness coming out which I
really like now there is a little secret
ingredient it’s rose water basically a
little syrup light syrup you can pop it
in dressings pop it in marinades it’s
amazing in stews it’s really good in
desserts and cakes and if it gets too
sticky you can just add a little bit
more water get our lovely yogurt I’m
just going to do a nice little dollop
I’m going to take some of this lovely
fruit over here what I love is when that
heat from the blueberries starts to just
melt the yogurt and you get that kind of
ripple II kind of raspberry ripple sort
of effect going that’s kind of ready and
raring to go but I ain’t happy yet mango
if you got it kicking around fingers out
the way start at the top of the mango
and just take a lobe and if you hit the
stone then you can just flex your knife
around it but I’m going to do one nice
little flab and I’m just going to
Hedgehog it right I know it’s what the
kids like fall so it’s just the easiest
way to prepare it not quite through the
skin sort of centimeter slices doesn’t
take any time at all I know you’ve
probably seen this before no big deal
but it’s just kind of fun a ripe banana
has a lot more sugar than a green banana
as soon as it ripens yeah sugar develops
in there in the banana it’s your best
stuff I’m eating it early on really when
it is green it is actually less
fattening less sugar in it eat bananas
as you always do but if you’re watching
the calories if you’re trying to lose a
little bit of weight then the unripe
bananas are much more favorable take a
little bit of lime and it just brings
out some incredible flavor in the banana
and the mango actually so for me in
three little minutes you can knock
together something that’s beautiful and
fun so there you go guys that is a
lovely little breakfast beautiful tasty
oats coconut fennel seeds with those
bursted blueberries and the lovely
yogurt lime DUP banana and a bit of
mango super-quick fills you up full of
the good stuff and very very nice
