I’m told by everyone that monks he
really really well they pretty much
always been self-sufficient their own
animals fed through all natural products
fish finger grad to you ancient recipes
more like school dinners that’s you know
math cause yeah it’s buttery most of
foods processed
it’s got no flavor and were still the
monks don’t even seem to care it’s a
first finish first I want to take the
two youngest monks who do the cooking
out of this place you can drive on the
way home cuz what I learnt in Sicily was
the inspired cooking comes from them a
little bit of fun let’s go in monks
and now Selwyn Alfonso are about to get
one of my new cooking lessons
[Music]
[Applause]
we’re gonna do lentils with nice fresh
tomato sauce and lovely roasted sausages
give it a little bit of a massage big
boy just go on son
to make the lentils really good cover
them with water put a tomato in it and
then a bay leaf 20 minutes salt pepper
when it’s finished oil vinegar beautiful
I’ve blackened off some peppers and I’ve
got chilies as well remove the seeds and
push away about that why do you put in
there I’m gonna do a salsa off the
picante like a spicy fresh tomato sauce
I’ve got onions and olive oil I’m going
to put some stick of cinnamon in yeah
garlic goes in and we have tinned
tomatoes and fresh tomatoes chopped
these peppers and chilies up this is a
really simple wholesome dish a little
bit of soap just a sort of thing these
boys should be cooking back at the
monastery Prosecco
so it’s simple we’re gonna give away
some lovely food and then ask for a
donation
bunchy Monday

boom almost content
oh poor you
the best lentils they have ever eaten
out of this world
yes a jar a Mikasa such a lovely dish

sickles he asked us if it’s a bad
