guys welcome to a new episode of fish
tails and today I met this amazing
fishery a clam fishery in the southwest
of India on a small island which is
called San Sebastian near kollam and
I’ll make you a beautiful Indian clam
curry so let’s start making this awesome
curry guys um I start by chopping a red
onion I’m not chopping is really fine
cutting the chilli and also in not too
small pieces garlic and I chop them
again roughly cut the tomato ginger so
guys all the ingredients are here I take
my pen and I will add like five six
tablespoons of coconut oil if you cannot
find coconut oil use regular vegetable
oil so I put this on my beautiful open
fire here in the garden at this
beautiful item and I bring this oil up
to heat now I would love to tell you
something more about this beautiful
beautiful fishery the way these
fishermen collect the clamps is really
special as soon as the Sun is rising the
fishermen head out on the lake on the
little wooden canoes on the bottom they
kick the clams with their feet in a net
all without any special equipment this
is traditional this is the most
authentic fishery I know so when the
canoe is full of clams they all return
to their homes where the women of the
family will sort open and clean every
Klim one by one when they are done with
this process they will bring the clamps
to one central dock to load them off
into trucks for the market this is a
really sustainable way of fishing an
example to the world so first step onion
okay guys let it simmer for a while
until you hear this beautiful sizzling
sound I had some chili the green and red
chili red add some garlic some curry
leaves beautiful green curry leaf okay
guys
you let it fry until it starts coloring
which is really important for your curry
hey guys now it’s time for the ginger
its cheer again so one teaspoon of
turmeric powder and 1/2 teaspoon of
chili powder
look at these colors Phil Koury on there
two teaspoons of coriander powder
tomatoes and a bit of black pepper and
now the hero ingredient the beautiful
clams here from this leg I take like a
double hand and again maybe a small hand
like this so guys I cover this with a
lid until Oh cleansing our hopes so guys
this beautiful Indian clam curry here on
the small island of San Sebastian is now
ready take off the lid take it off the
fire look at this look at this and this
