Food Photography Competition Results – Round 3

so welcome back and thank you so much
again for entering this competition the
response has been amazing really amazing
so I’ve got three I wanted to share with
you today the first one forgive me if
I’ve mispronounced your name mass in
this is a sort of steak tartare heaven
really and again it shows all the
ingredients it’s beautifully lit it’s
it’s quite complicated if you were to be
at all critical you might say well do
you need three state titles on the plate
but I quite like the idea I like the
idea somehow there’s four people sitting
around and you’re all about to tuck in
so I do like this photo and I do like
the lighting and I love the fact that
the egg that in the middle is direct
center and it really pings out on the
red of this steak and the state looks
fresh and it’s a bit a goodie so so
that’s our first one our second one is
another steak and again this came in by
email this is it’s a peppery steak what
I like about this is got a lovely sort
of mutinous as a slight graininess to it
the the use of props is lovely i mean
its core beautiful old board and a lot
of efforts gone into the the thinking
behind this if one was to be at all
critical now hate it may be twist it
very slightly get the edges all the
edges straight as a funny thing with
photography if an edge is completely not
straight that sign off its straight it’s
fine but it’s just slightly off now our
third one and again forgive me but I
don’t know what it is with this
selection but name’s spelling i hope i
pronounced right but i believe this if I
to chain this one just has amazing taste
ability I mean chocolate brownies
you know everyone loves a chocolate
brownie it’s very simply done minimal
propping just the plate and the three
brownies the focus is perfect it’s it’s
very much in there in the right spot you
know frontier frontier there’s a
tendency always to misuse soft focus you
know soft focus doesn’t necessarily mean
beautiful you know what you saw with
with the state shots was you know sharp
focus and looked really beautiful so
sadly again I have to pick someone to go
through it’s always so tough and I
really didn’t don’t like to do it but
the two chain you’ve gone through on
sheer pickup ability really if you can
say that it’s just that thing I want to
eat those brownies so much so well done
she chained it really is a very sweet
very simple beautiful photo well done
