north-african butter bean salad but this
ain’t no ordinary salad cause it’s hot
what trust me first things first let’s
get our carrots in the hand right
I don’t peel them as long as they’re
washed that’s fine I like it because
there’s more nutrients in there more
flavor in there okay carrots in now a
little bit of oil in there here we go
coming up look at these caraway seeds
they look absolutely gorgeous now it’s a
cross between cumin and fennel all right
a little bit darker you can always see
the relation there right North African
spice really really good works very well
with carrots in that goes look at that
now while that’s happening we got chard
find this all over the world very good
in britain grows very very well okay
it’s quite sweet it’s like a bit like a
cabbage you can have it raw I like it
raw I also like these bits here they’re
really sweet when you cook them
vegetables in salad you can do it it
doesn’t have to be just on your your
player roast dinner on a Sunday lovely
that’s going maybe just one garlic in
there in that goes in with the tins
butter beans now that’s gonna take about
a minute bit of salt some pepper my
favorite the stalks of the coriander I
love it
they just work so well and they get
wasted all the time already that’s
looking handsome look at that and at the
last minute I throw in chard and leaves
because you don’t want them to will
really quickly keep it quite rough it’s
a salad there you go in they go
lovely red wine vinegar now that’s
nearly ready all I need there now is
olive oil
this is real comfort food a little bit
of coriander on top put some chicken
stock in finish it off as a soup if you
like you know this goes perfect with my
daddy ribs recipe you want to see that
too little link go for it now no now you
