Homemade Mario Kart Red Shell – 30MPH!!

Hey guys, welcome back and thank you for watching The King of Random
Today I’m excited to bring you this
show really cool project. About a year ago I contacted
by Devon Supertramp. That was a great video idea.
He wanted to Mario Kart in real life do. He wanted my help
to Mario Kart turtles in full size.
But he would not static objects
he wanted to drive around with them and ride against the karts
just like in the game. Here is one of these shields
these things were difficult to make, they are made of fiberglass
and then painted to look like the shields in the game.
as cool as they are as decoration, it was not enough. I had to make them
so we could drive around. The purpose of this video today is to show your
how I have changed them in motion ‘homing’ shields. just like in
the game and then show you what they can do. Now I did not want
they could move, they had to be quick
so I needed a car with plenty of power.
So I’ve decided to make this car from Traxxas, this thing is a beast,
get under the right circumstances it can reach 60 miles per hour (95 kilometers per hour)
Check this out
Okay, we are now in the parking lot, we prepared the car,
and he Anges auctions on the controller and ready to go, I wanted to show you why
I wanted to use these cars.
Donuts.
So fast.
I love it
Okay now it’s time to turn this car into a rolling shield
Look at the top of the vehicle and how it is fixed, and I will show you how you should change
with the shield. The entire top is fastened with these 4
anchor points
these four points that retain the top
are the same points that we will use to attach the shield
to secure the shield I first
4 dots of paint put on the anchor points
I then aligned the shield by car
and neergezt on the shield so that the four spots of paint left behind
at the bottom of the shield I then drilled
Once you’ve made da holes in the shield comes the hard part, you must align the holes
with the anchor points on the car
and then fix it with the pins from the interior of the shield
Since much of this at the touch needed is good to memorize
how the holes are oriented in the anchor points
the rearmost points have holes from front to back
The front points are holes left to right
You may think off the top of the car
how the car works, you can see the drive shaft, the engine
which controls the car and slot the battery
The car came with these little tension rings
to increase the suspension
I want to do this by the weight of the shield
* Whisper * Here’s number three
Sometimes it is useful to have thin arms.
* Whisper * And that is number four
Okay our shield RC car is ready let’s see what she can,
We are back on our driving area let’s see what it can do to shield them.
So I have my cell phone glued to the bumper of the car
and a GPS-based speedometer
and we’ll find out how fast this car can go
I’m not 100% sure how accurate this application
but we still see what results we get
according to the app was the maximum speed
30 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour (48 kilometers per hour)
with a remote besturbare car, how great is that
these things are so much fun to drive around
you could probably see that maneuver at high speed was not working properly
the vehicle has a tendency to tilt
at low speed you have good control
and straights you have crazy speed
I hope it is clearly visible on the camera
how fast these things
boys these things are so much fun to drive around
and if you want to see more of them go to Devon Supertramp watch his videos
he rides around on a trail at full size
in the future I’m going all the steps to make those shields show
so you can make them yourself, I hope you enjoyed it as much
of looking at these things as I build and show you
dankjulliewel to see this project and see you in the next video
until then
Let’s try that again just randomly happened!
Hey guys I’m back to answer questions I’ve seen
where am I? and who is Nate?
First, I’m just not in the videos currently. second
Nate is my new sidekick in training
he will continue to bring all projects and experiments
so give him a high-five to show your support and see you in the next video
