Filling Giant 6 FT BALLOONS with Liquid Nitrogen!

Hello friends. I’m really excited because I have just been refilled my liquid nitrogen tank –
– and this time I ordered 30 liters, but they filled it to the top.
This means that I got five liters free. So let’s have used it for something good.
Today is the day when we answer the question: “What makes fluently nitrogen –
– inside a six foot water balloon? “
Let’s find out!
Oh man, it is much heavier than it was last time
Now you’re probably thinking: “How dangerous is liquid nitrogen?” and honestly it is –
– really, really dangerous, but not if you respect the boundaries and work a lot –
– very fast.
I’ve got my wife to help me.
What do you think about all these crazy experiments. They want to know it.
They are always too much.
It is cooked down a bit so we pour just a bit more on so we can get as –
– very liquid nitrogen possible into and if so, I think that it’s time to –
to fill it up.
Okay, this is where it gets serious.
I have already put a strip around the neck here and the idea is to stretch the above –
– thermos, turn it upside down and throw everything together into and then constrict it –
– to.
Let’s see if we can get it to work.
Oh, it’s already becoming brittle and it can be seen that it is being inflated – it’s cool.
On strip fell off, it’s not good. And the neck is completely frozen.
Oh well, I have to warm it up – I can not get it by now. It is completely frozen.
Taking off the gloves.
See here – the bottom of this balloon
it’s like a tortoise shell. Oh happened what happened. See how hard it is.
It’s almost like a helmet.
Luckily I brought a spare. Okay, so we found out that the reason it did not work last –
– once was because of all of the liquid nitrogen freezing the rubber before we even had a chance to close on strip.
So this time we try with some form of isolation barrier – we have –
– water bottles, “Styrofoam liners”, a funnel –
– maybe even paper as we put down our throats. I want my –
– wife to try to pour it into the balloon instead of turning it upside down.
We see if it will make a difference.
See how big the neck of the balloon is – I think it’s great –
– so we could put this papirkop down without problems.
It fits actually perfect.
Okay, we got it all in, but the neck is fairly frozen. Oh I think it works.
Yay! Self-inflatable balloons!
Now at this point, the balloon is large enough. I will –
– do not play with it too much in case I skip it by accident.
So I’ll just let the nitrogen continue to extend itself until it runs out of liquid.
Let’s just see how big it is.
See we’ve sprung a leak.
The still expands and inflates itself, but the nitrogen escapes –
– faster than we can keep it inside.
Is it a hole right there or is it just gas?
Goodness
Okay so update; we are on the balloon number three and these things are not cheap, they are 30 –
– dollars apiece.
We have a little duct tape on strip so do not tear the rubber into pieces.
I think that this might have been one of the problems we had last time.
Until now, I do not know if this is a good thing and yes it’s neck again.
Okay, we’ll get warmed it up and closed it.
Okay guys, I think it works. We have come so far and it is the hardest –
– part I think. Uh see the grass down here.
Crisp.
Did you get it in the face?
No, it was just the rubber hit me in the eye.
Check it out anyway. It is formidable. Okay so you guys remember that security is important –
– and for some reason I did not have my glasses on and my eye could at least mark –
– the rubber slapped me right in the eye and did much evil.
Okay so here’s the difference – this time we have duct tape around here –
– instead of strips.
We have a strips in here, but it is protected by gaffatapen so –
– there should be no sharp edges that could cause it to burst.
Now we get it off the grass and puts it on the trampoline because –
– there is a very small chance that the trampoline happen to puncture it –
– that the grass did.
Okay guys – this time dec glasses for safety.
Wow!
I felt quite literal to a tremor hit my chest – BOOM – just the way it was overwhelming!
There you have it guys – it took only a few hundred dollars worth of liquid nitrogen –
– and 120 dollars worth of these six foot balloons, but we –
– came to an end. We can now answer the question: “What makes liquid nitrogen –
for a six foot water balloon? “
Thank you for joining for this experiment. I will look after you –
– in the next video. See you there.
Hey guys, I just had to give recognition where recognition was forced because of big thanks to my friends –
– which came in the final minute to help me to film this today. I am Mark Wilson, I’m drone pilot –
– from Skycams media.
We are Tom and Robyn and we make high quality video of cool people
Check all their stuff out – I’ll put their link into the description. See you next –
