in today’s video we’re gonna see what
happens if we take 100 pounds of dry ice
and pour it all into a hot tub at once
recently we tried pouring dry ice into
boiling water and we got a really cool
effect and we thought we should scale
that up so now instead of a pot of water
we’re going to use a full running hot
tub we’re gonna pour some dry ice into
it like so much more this is almost my
body weight and dry ice one thing we do
want to try we discovered we got a much
cooler reaction if some of our dry ice
was really smashed up and sort of
powderized so we’re gonna break a bunch
of this dry ice up then we’re gonna keep
a bunch of large size lumps and then I
think we’re gonna need a hot tub so I’m
just gonna go ahead put some in the back
rubber gloves may not have been the best
we’ve got 100 pounds of crushed up dry
ice maybe at this point we need a hot
tub we should be in a hot tub hey

and we should be pouring a hundred
probably a little more than a hundred
pounds because they’re not super
accurate when they’re waiting at the
grocery store probably like 110 115 set
like that but all of this dry ice is
gonna be important once
I’m hoping for a giant cloud are you yes
I mean we’re gonna just then meet in the
cloud and hopefully not asphyxiate but
oh it is burning right bees don’t stand
on it up if birdie might be so much like
this is like the bubble feature without
the bubbles
my thighs I’m soaked from the waist down
like carbon dioxide school but since
reporting stuff in reporting some liquid
oh hey I found a camera it was over here
that’s gonna be a fun video I’m just
time to gloat who wins the wet t-shirt
contest finds where I went the time to
go pro again
it’s like really don’t breathe
just now I kind of like it like born in
wintertime mm it’s no longer a hot tub
it says it’s down 96 that’s 8 degrees
cooler I think it’s actually colder than
that’s amazing this is actually
interesting how quickly we have now gone
through almost all that dress we’ve kind
of been tossing it into this corner over
here and this handful represents about
90% of what’s left you can actually
including including a GoPro it’s just
the shocking part is yes the water
temperature has lowered significantly
but it’s still pretty warm and we dumped
a hundred pounds of dry ice and liquid
nitrogen in here with us oh look at
these little tiny survivors the ones
floating on the hood yeah oh hey another
it’s carbonated a little bit to people
cygnus so we put dry ice in our gloves
guys this has been awesome are there any
other experiments that you want to see
