Sir Richard Branson Profile: Men with Mojo Series

Richard Branson born July 18 1950
Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson is
an English entrepreneur we know him as
Richard Branson now all things that go
with Richard Branson are that red logo
the Virgin logo on any and everything
now from cellphones to record company’s
record labels to airplanes you name it
there’s a virgin you fill in the blank
that didn’t sound so good did it anyway
his start was in music he started
selling records by mail-order in the
early 70s in fact in 1970 a year later
he went from that to opening up his own
record shop in London locally in 1972
skyworks fast he opened up his own music
studio and then a year after that he
began Virgin Records from 1970 to 1973
consecutively this guy had a different
thing going on each year in the business
world a year to make moves like that
it’s pretty damn good in my eyes so soon
after opening or his beginning or
founding Virgin Records he signed some
of the biggest acts I guess in the
history of music let’s go down the list
let’s have we had the Sex Pistols we
have Phil Collins and we have Boy George
now let’s keep it real I mean Boy George
for as money you know jokes is llame
when I have or not have or whatever he’s
still part of one of the biggest groups
of all time at least starting back from
London which is Culture Club and then in
just a blinding flash of light this guy
just like I said slapped that brown or
anything he can think of let’s go down
the list
Virgin Atlantic Airways we’re at the
virgin megastores which there’s some
huge ones in made the major cities LA
and New York
so our Virgin Mobile we have cosmetics
car sales health clubs you name it this
dude has it and that’s impressive and
that’s amazing and I think that’s great
and he’s also known because
he’s a daredevil if you want to call him
that in 1986 he made the fastest ever
crossing of the Atlantic Ocean on his
boat
of course called the Virgin Atlantic
Challenger a year later he became the
first to cross the Atlantic in a hot-air
balloon
called of course the Virgin Atlantic
flyer so this guy’s just done it all
he’s just he’s out there he’s Crazy’s
crazy in a good way he’s just
adventurous he’s fun and it’s great
marketing right a huge throws that name
out there look hot the first thing I
said was what the red logo right how do
I know it Hut the guy’s smart the guy
knows his marketing he knows branding so
finally in 1999 queen elizabeth ii
knighted him hence the reason I
mentioned earlier he’s served Richard
Charles Nicholas Branson and he’s one of
our men with mojo
