Albert Arnold Gore jr was born March

Washington DC to US senator Albert Gore
senior and Pauline lafon gore little
gore was their second child in 10 years
his family lived in a hotel in the
capital city where Gore attended high
school he spent his summers working the
family farm in Carthage Tennessee
tending cattle tobacco and hey he moved
to Harvard where he earned a degree in
government with honors in 1969 or
volunteer to enlist in the US Army he
experienced the vietnam war firsthand as
an army journalist resuming civilian
life the young man joined the tennessean
newspaper in 1971 he attended the
Vanderbilt University divinity school
and law school before kicking off his
career in public service in 1976 or quit
grad school to run for Congress he was
elected to the US House of

served the democratic party till
nineteen eighty-five after rising to the
US Senate he was reelected as Democratic
senator from Tennessee in 1990 on
january twentieth nineteen ninety-three
he was inaugurated as the 45th vice
president of the United States and sworn
in again four years later for a second
term he ran for president in 2000
winning the popular vote but losing the
electoral vote 271 to 266 questions
surrounding the legitimacy of the
results linger despite that the Supreme
Court of the United States quashed the
probe when it declared a recount
unconstitutional since his defeat Gore
has been active as a professor at
Columbia University among other colleges
and as a leader in investment in asset
management in 2005 he established
current TV he drew attention to the
importance of the internet for
representative democracy in his 2007
book the assault on reason in his
endeavor to awaken the masses about the
environmental crisis he founded the
alliance for climate protection himself
an environmental activist and author or
teamed up with participant productions
to feature his keynote address which he
had been presenting for more than two
decades in the compelling Academy
award-winning documentary An
Inconvenient Truth gore has remained
politically supportive through financial
contributions in 2004 he announced
donations to various Democratic Party
groups including to the Florida
Democratic Party
gore is also the winner of the webby
Lifetime Achievement Award for his key
role in the development of the internet
at the turn of the 21st century
