it was almost two years ago I was
downtown sitting at a coffee shop with a
friend just overlooking the historic
25th Street and talking about the town’s
really cool history and where the town’s
going and how we could be involved and
we looked across the street and there’s
a pawn shop that sits there on 25th and
they had three big signs that read guns
gold and diamonds and he looked back at
me and said well that’s a song for you
right there
and I thought about it and thought it
sure is so not big on my songwriting
process and the deeper I dug into the
history of this town not only that but
the stories of the people that used to
live here and the stories of the people
that presently live here I realized that
I was so much more connected than I even
thought it wasn’t just a place you see I
learned a place much like a past can be
rumored to be so rough that even Al
Capone wouldn’t come to it but it can
transform with passion and faith and
persistence much like the people here
the artists and the families and the men
and business women and the outdoor
enthusiasts can create something
beautiful from that place and it
reminded me that no matter where you
come from or where you’ve been and I
think we can all relate to that part of
the story that you can bloom into
something beautiful and something more
and doesn’t matter where you’ve been it
matters so what you choose to
create with where you are now and it’s
just about finding the place that you
can call home and my name is Naomi
Harlan I’m a songwriter and advocate for
causes close to my heart and this town
is one of them this is the wild wild
[Music]
guns go world and I’m a three words
stemming me walking so the real rolls
down on 25th Street Street Lane
like the pavement where lights used to
be
and every storefronts got a story behind
you to the mountain below hi save for
the oceans but along the Seine to show
owe me a nose
oh by the way here’s where I feel
[Music]
there’s some rumors about some town
tools like the riffles feel King says
you was to gamble
okay the hustle by a kid named Joe but
you babies will get your one pine and
juice it’ll get you knocked out
I know and okay and here dear Pheebs
[Music]
or the oceans along the Seine to show me
why the way I feel
they weigh in old days with one stop to
Western states from cold roads and old
ghosts two soldiers on freight trains
from Rock town and pokey we came here to
show we got big dreams and footprints
with a small town feel it’ll bring in
music and business is booming from guns
drawn and showdown to colors and
movements we got up doors and open roads
in the free gum to find his soul where
the train stops the river flows troubles
to the mound to the valley is down below
have say for the oceans but along the
Oh call me what you please but the world
