it’s nice to get your money’s worth but
these games did not follow that
principle yes don’t get any variety
welcome to watchmojo.com and today we’ll
be counting down our picks for the top
10 games that were great but needed more
content before we begin we publish new
clips every day so be sure to subscribe
for more great videos just to be clear
we’re not saying that the following
games are bad not all of them anyway in
fact many of these games were very
memorable and enjoyable experiences to
play through however once the credits
rolled we were left with that empty
feeling upon realizing that when all was
said and done there was nothing to
really hold our attention afterwards or
justify the high price of the game
itself
scanning new objective located number 10
evolved prior to its release evolve was
being hyped as the next big thing in the
realm of small square shooter and for
good reason its premise of one player
controlling a monstrous Beast and being
pitted against multiple opponents was an
interesting concept
it’s a shame however that so much of the
extra content behind the game was locked
behind paid DLC which seriously hurt the
overall experience especially
considering the developers initial
promises that most of said DLC would be
free
the developers really shot themselves in
the foot here as if all ended up in a
downward spiral being forced to
transition to free a play before being
shut down entirely
more like devolve them right number nine
overwatch attack is incoming insanity
sick blizzards latest franchise has
become nothing short of a mega hit it
amassed a large online community and
raked in several Game of the Year awards
ours included but let’s get real here
for a second okay overwatch it’s friggin
awesome but there’s a handful of maps
and no single-player campaign what kids
bro yeah we mess
Cavalry’s a blizzard is known for
delivering large complete packages so
launching a brand new IP with a sparse
amount of content clearly worked for
them but it’s not ideal also can we get
some cooler skins for Deva while we’re
at it because I’m not crazy about the
current batch number eight Street
Fighter 5 almost everything that players
had come to love about the street
fighter franchise was present here fast
gameplay insane combo attacks not a
catchy soundtrack
so who is the problem well it was our
old friend altogether now DLC many of
the characters who were usually
commonplace for the series like a kuma
and guile were unavailable at launch due
to paywalls
to pour more salt into that very salty
wound there was also a lack of extra
modes with the most serious offense
being a lack of an arcade mode seriously
how do you have a street fighter game
without an arcade mode I will kill you
that’s pretty much standard for any
fighting game retro modern you name it
it has to be there no you’re wrong
that can’t be the only answer number
seven Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Far Cry 3
was already a phenomenal game in its own
right so the added Blood Dragon
standalone DLC was icing on the cake set
in a dystopian sci-fi setting Blood
Dragon drew in plenty of obvious
influence from eighties action flicks
and video games
it was a knee funny and a blast to play
through he’s heading to its grave so
College greedy but this one is only
making the list as a consequence of it
being so good but so short we wanted to
see more of this world here more since
hostile music and guide rec school
through even more perilous
pulse-pounding missions dare Ubisoft
please give us a full-fledged Blood
Dragon game please you’re crazy
oh my god yeah madness man not never
seen number 6 The Last Guardian the last
Guardians primary focus was to tell a
compelling narrative fueled by
spellbinding thrills and captivating
emotional moment we admire the artistic
expression by Team Ico and Gen design on
the Last Guardian for how it represents
the game that they set up to make
although years ago but come on now once
the roughly 12 hour campaign is done
there’s really no reason to come back to
it
the only unlockable that the game offers
are some new costumes and that’s
basically it come on you guys you can do
better than that how about some
alternate paths or maybe a mode where
you play as Treecko instead come on how
cool would that be
[Music]
number five Pokemon snap Pokemon snap
it’s undoubtedly a special game it
strange yet surprisingly fun premise of
taking photos of Pokemon caught on like
wildfire but unfortunately there were a
few kinks in the armor first of all the
game is criminally short as you can
pretty much 100% the whole darn thing in
less than two hours secondly only 63 of
the original 151 original Pokemon are
featured in the game so you could
probably guess what this game needs more
of yep more stages and more Pokemon now
now there’s over 800 so if this project
were ever picked up again
there’s a lot to work with here number 4
Star Wars Battlefront wipers bulb isn’t
sticking up for attack box
Oh ei we’re starting to believe that you
actually enjoy fan backlash and angry
consumer responses while the actual
gameplay is fast-paced and action-packed
there isn’t nearly enough variety in
here had launched the game when we had a
very small handful of maps and no
single-player campaign mode even now
with the added DLC it still pales in
comparison to other multiplayer
offerings even you know the battlefield
game made by dice and EA Xing comparison
flash back a decade before this game to
the release of battlefront 2 which was
packed with more than double the amount
of content that’s available now in the
current version DLC included what was so
difficult about just bringing over what
was already done and building up alright
microtransactions gotta be
microtransactions in DLC number three
Metal Gear Solid 5 the phantom pain yeah
we know Metal Gear Solid 5 is a massive
game as it is with the main story mode
side-ops online multiplayer components
and just the general shenanigans that
can be caused with this gargantuan open
world there aren’t hours of content
available here even so we can’t help but
feel that it still needs a bit more no
charges remaining complete we aren’t
going to point any fingers to your
karate but maybe mgs 5 feels a bit
watered down because of a good chunk of
the game that was cut out due to a
certain company causing certain
difficulties with a certain someone it
would be awesome to have gotten some
closure for Eli’s story arc for one
thing I guess it seems that we’ll have
to settle for what’s already there oh
number two vanquish
even though it wasn’t a very popular
release few action games can reach the
high bar set by vanquish it’s you set
pieces are exciting and it’s
mind-blowing bullet time gameplay allows
us to channel our inner fan ass like
nothing else so the game itself
fantastic but what you can really do
once you’ve completed said game is
another story its overall length is
pretty short only spanning a few hours
you could replay the game on a higher
difficulty for extra challenge and
intensity on a second playthrough but
that’s not what we’re talking about here
is it
how about the side mission or how about
you go really not to nad a multiplayer
mode with the blistering action on
display just imagine that with a bunch
of people it would be so cold
number one Middle Earth shadow of Mordor
I’m guided you’re on asking about taking
an original storyline and combining the
gameplay from Assassin’s Creed and the
Batman Arkham series this game was a
huge hit but it was far from perfect the
game world while visually stunning felt
barren and we can only run by the same
bushes and enemy outpost so many times
the Nemesis system totally great but it
doesn’t help the fact that the game has
a serious lack of enemy variety with you
fighting orcs orcs orcs and more orcs
back to front
additionally the missions boil down to
either go there kill him get that
affairs and fat got old pretty fast
shadow of Mordor was an awesome game but
with a little more meat on its bones it
could be the truly fantastic Tolkien
based game we all dreamt up high street
side-by-side who would have thought do
