Top 10 Anticipated But Disappointing Movies

hey there pretty birdie give yourself up
we waited all year to see them and then
instantly regretted that we did potty
wanna kiss welcome to watchmojo.com and
today we’re counting down our picks for
the top 10 most anticipated but
disappointing movies you’ll forgive me
for not attending but I have to try to
salvage this debacle for this list we’re
taking a look at the movies we were
amped to see but that left us hollow
wanting and kind of annoyed as the
credits rolled B I want to talk to you
about the college thing up over not
taking you with you number 10 Tron
Legacy the previews looked amazing it
was like a CGI neon laser orgy for our
eyes and we couldn’t get enough of the
Daft Punk soundtrack but somewhere it
fell flat I’m sorry maybe it was the
fairly predictable plot or the visually
stunning but not that exciting action
sequences that left us wanting or maybe
it was the underdeveloped characters and
phoned in acting what’s it like
the Sun yeah
it was likely a combination of
everything that amounted to a big fat
man
one
rady
number nine Godzilla what the hell is
the matter with you people
you’ve caused more damage than that
goddamn thing deadly some folks were
looking forward to this sci-fi monster
movie remake for over a year sucks for
them because what they got was a lot of
subpar special effects without all of
the campy Godzilla charm the characters
redesign made it look like a large
iguana with long arms and notably
missing where the sound effects we came
to enjoy and expect from the colossal
lizard monster
in short it was a letdown well wait
all right Wow
number eight The Matrix Revolutions
it was the highly anticipated conclusion
of The Matrix franchise but it really
failed to deliver on its promise of
awesomeness it seemed as though the
matrix storyline was stretched thin in
the sequel and by the third installment
filmmakers were grasping at straws
you’ve never believed in the one I still
don’t then why are you doing this I
believe in him as a final movie it was a
massive washout with recycled plot
points and been there done that special
effects by the end of the movie
we felt like we should have taken the
other pill it ends tonight
number seven The Hangover Part 2
following up on the success of a smash
hit movie can be difficult and this
flabby sequel can attest to that I can’t
believe this happening again
while the first hangover surprised us
with its wantonness and brash humor it
seems that the follow-up tried to
duplicate the formula and botch the
recipe oh my god what the with its
fourths jokes and ham-fisted plot we’re
left carrying even less about a wedding
and the characters involved than ever
before my word my bad number 6
Terminator Salvation you cannot say John
Connor
watch me they laid the groundwork for a
good movie capitalizing on an already
successful franchise the film had some
respectable names behind the scenes and
on-screen yeah
we’ve been at war said before either of
us even existed but even Christian
Bale’s thin-lipped determination
couldn’t revive this disappointment we
have to be careful thank you but we have
to try the film lacked the personality
present in the first Terminator movies
instead relying on explosions and
special effects to carry it to salvation
and it failed miserably I let you down
you’ll kill everyone on this room just
Giancana cuz I give a shit about you
number five Transformers Revenge of the
Fallen it’s a Michael Bay film so you
know the movie is going to be about 76%
explosions and slow-motion shots of
things running
but this sequel manages to also cram in
some really crappy action sequences
confusing plot holes and even some
offensive stereotypes a mudflat what are
we gonna do with this shrimp tacos but
the Japanese asking me to truck it in
there mango no that not me it’s like the
sequel was comprised of everything that
didn’t make it into the first film and
for good reason unfortunately that
didn’t stop us from watching it okay
wait number 4 the Godfather Part 3 some
blame the horrible failure of the third
Godfather installment on Sofia Coppola
while others hint that Robert Duvall’s
absence is the missing link whatever the
case the 1990 continuation of the
classic film series managed to miss the
mark completely lacking the intrigue and
depth of the previous two films we have
no interests or investment in anything
village it and also marred by some
wooden acting by the directors daughter
the movie was a huge disappointment to
die-hard fans and critics alike you know
seen such terrible and it is just that
your suffice number 3 The Last Airbender
with his mastery the four elements he
will begin to change hearts this cartoon
– live-action movie based on a popular
animated series had built-in fans
unfortunately for them and everyone else
this film managed to crash burn and flop
all at the same time
directed by M night Shyamalan for some
reason the film suffered from horrendous
casting choices crappy dialogue and a
boring drawn-out plot what have you
learned from the stolen Scrolls
we have deciphered the location of the
mood and ocean spirits
it is our destiny to have found this
information job it served as a wake-up
call for children and tweens that adults
will ruin everything they love you’re
angry must let this go
number two Indiana Jones and the Kingdom
of the Crystal Skull this ain’t gonna be
easy not as easy as it used to be none
of the things that made this franchise
grade showed up in the fourth
installment
yeah I thought that was closer fans of
Indy may have been expecting a
continuation of the highly entertaining
and enjoyable film series but what they
received was a sad attempt to reclaim
former glory put you to sleep just by
talking with tepid storytelling and
horrible CGI the film manages to
simultaneously try too hard and not try
at all oh and there’s Shia LaBeouf
before we unveil our number one pick
here are a few honorable mentions Henry
this is Logan
he’s arene I hear you’re quite an animal
look who’s talking
let’s get some ice would that be so
terrible mr. super famous racecar driver
I don’t know maybe we should practice
maybe we should
number one Star Wars Episode one The
Phantom Menace this is so wizard I’m
sure you’ll do it this time throughout
finish the race of course George Lucas
captured lightning in a bottle with the
Star Wars saga in the late 1970’s and
early 80’s and that was apparently not
enough
just a very very bad aiming to establish
a prologue to the series we’re
introduced to a time before Darth Vader
and Han Solo I’m a person my name is
Anakin while the premise may not have
been awful fans were treated to dreadful
characters stilted acting and some
pretty awful lines to the point where it
enraged dedicated fans and nerds across
the galaxy
do you agree with our list you’ve done
enough already
