with Dragonforce what outside music like
video games for example influences the
band do you love to do like video games
yes she did absolutely yeah yeah and I
think these guys are from a different
generation so there does that mean
the music in video games that they may
have played will probably be you know
from like Castlevania things like that
when I was about four years old yeah
yeah well I mean we all grew up like
playing you know like Super Mario and
whatnot and those music were like very
catchy because there was not a lot of
things they could do with it like
they’re really good you know stupid
sounds and whatnot so the music had to
be catchy and yeah I liked Herman Sam
and myself definitely played all those
games on Commodore 64 or whatnot because
we young
so we’ll finish off by talking about
about how you guys have songs in video
games why do you think it’s important to
market yourself in that way what I guess
it helped us a lot but it also has like
a sort of dark side to it because people
think we just that been that wasn’t
Guitar Hero for them usually like we’d
never existed before and then guitar
hero came out and here we are and we can
play instruments it cute what I am but
that’s the bad aspect of it but the good
aspect is like some people would have
never felt about listening to too many
middle to dragonforce and then they
played that video into our not bad I’m
gonna check them out
so we had like a lot of kids with you
know plastic guitars of the geek will
just ball but the the entire show about
from that song which is are like they
would wake up and go so we had that but
so only know what I mean it’s been a
very positive experience and I mean if
tomorrow they asked us somebody asked us
to Europe since we love video games
someone asked us especially super mario
super mario man with you if you’re a
song just tell us
I’m sure you get asked this all the time
have you guys ever tried to play through
the fire and flames in the game have it
well I mean I have but I’m you know I
was playing it when I wasn’t in the band
so it’s quite a laughing actually had
some enjoyment for it but and Fred might
feel slightly differently another this
sent us some controllers and some games
and up I started to play and I got bored
of it simply because I play guitar
myself and it’s completely different so
I was like you know I’m gonna go I’m
colorblind so I couldn’t play no no I
was just playing I was like okay that’s
different I was good with the rhythm but
like I had to play the song like for for
interviews and whatnot and it’s pretty
hard actually it’s very hard and it’s
really difficult for me because I’m like
something completely different so yeah
but I did yes
