Filming in Morocco | Killing Jesus

being in maracas especially this set
here in the middle of the desert
it’s just astounding you feel like this
is a special place really helps you
it’s incredible we’re in Morocco first
of all which is a beautiful country and
just the landscapes are phenomenal and
and it looks stunning you know to shoot
this film here and take advantage of the
men you know the natural landscapes that
they have and then on top of it add to
it the authenticity that National
Geographic is bringing to it
we’ve got camels we’ve got donkeys it’s
it’s an it’s our just being around them
all day hearing the sounds a heat is one
thing as well which would have been you
know exactly pretty much been quite
accurate and it’s yeah you do totally
get lost me I think this experience of
killing Jesus has really tested us being
in horses at it’s incredible it’s a
feast for your senses it’s also really
challenging you know it’s very hot it
can get really hot here in the desert
you know and we have layers over layers
I mean I I have one two three and
sometimes I have the scarf so that’s a
lot of layers and then you have the wig
which when the Sun is on it really you
know almost catches fire that’s all good
I mean that’s that’s why we have the red
umbrellas for it’s been challenging it’s
not easy conditions but you know on the
flip side it’s so worth it when you walk
onto the set and you’re absolutely
transported back in time and I’ve just
never truly had that experience so
it’s well worth it
