platter hi I’m Rebecca Brayton and
welcome to watchmojo.com and today we’ll
be showing you a recipe for coconut
macaroons for about one dozen macaroons
here’s what you’ll need 2/3 of a cup of
all-purpose flour 5 and 1/2 cups of
sweetened flaked coconut 1/4 teaspoon of
salt 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed
milk 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1
teaspoon of almond extract start off by
preparing your cookie sheets by covering
them with parchment paper
in a large bowl mix together the flour
coconut and salt
once your coconut is coated in the flour
in a smaller bowl add your extracts to
your sweetened condensed milk and stir
to ensure even flavor distribution
now you get to use your hands add the
sweetened condensed milk make sure to
the coconut mixture and mix it with your
hands to make sure everything is well
blended
now refrigerate your dough for about two
hours to make forming your cookies that
much easier if you want you can skip
this step but your cookies probably
won’t be as uniformly shaped once your
dough has set pre-heat your oven to 350
degrees and shave golf ball sized balls
of dough and place them on your prepared
cookie sheets
if you make your balls a bit smaller you
can stretch the recipe to a couple dozen
now bake them for 12 to 15 minutes or
until the coconut is toasty
these bite-size confections have a sweet
coconut flavor and are chewy on the
inside and crunchy on the outside
