The Surfing Rabbi | Church Rescue

we’re here in Venice Beach California
taking rabbi Fink surfing his synagogue
is right on the beach and he’s never
been in the ocean
embracing the culture of Venice I
understand but these waves are literally
embracing me I just don’t see the point
in all this one two three papa stand up
gasps Keys puff up
I like that one that looks really good
yeah
yeah finally it felt so amazing I
actually connected with my surroundings
he did it I knew he could do it that’s
my rabbi out there I did it I actually
served it was the most incredible
feeling to have not only accomplished
something that I’d set out to do but
that feeling of being on that surfboard
and blocking out the entire world was a
really inspiring experience for me it’s
better than I could have possibly
imagined I can’t believe I waited this
long to do some like this week you’ll
experience that’s for sure I felt like
the ocean was a great metaphor it just
keeps on pushing at the shul you have to
keep on pushing we need to be like the
ocean now you can do this all over the
world let me start with my shul Sun
water the sand it is an ultimate
connection with God himself because he
created all this that shows and reveals
what the power of God is all about
