vehicle the two-seater 918 Spyder boasts
low emissions and low fuel consumption
all while maintaining the company’s need
for speed powered by a 500 horsepower v8
engine as well as two electric motors
the 918 Spyder offers four different
driving settings an all-electric mode a
hybrid mode a sport hybrid mode and
finally a race hybrid mode while the car
cannot be both fuel-efficient and a race
car at the same time these modes allow
drivers to choose whether they want to
save gas save the environment or save
time on any given day the cars top speed
is 198 miles per hour it can go from
zero to 62 miles or hour in just 3.2
seconds on the other hand it’s
respectable gas mileage and co2
emissions mirror those of a small
compact it features 78 miles per gallon
fuel economy which is equal to just 70
grams of co2 per kilometer last but not
least the car’s styling makes it a
beautiful addition to the Porsche lineup
and rivals even their most iconic models
while the company has yet to say whether
the 918 spyder will go into production
it is likely that some of the cars
elements will make it into production
