services Netflix Major League Baseball
Hulu YouTube Pandora the way people use
boxes they download it to their laptop
or Mac Mini they connect it to a big TV
screen and then they use an apple remote
or the iPhone as a remote control to
navigate the UI we have about 700,000
users almost all of them use Boxey on
their TV screens the active user on
Boxey will watch about 3 movies a week
and about 6 to 7 TV shows and maybe
seven to eight more shorter clips and
music is about a quarter of the usage of
the video today on boxing where did you
get the idea for this just personal
frustration there were a bunch of
friends that we’re starting to use the
internet more and more as our main
source of entertainment and having TVs
in the living room that only connect to
a set of box which is not enough we
wanted to get access to our assess feeds
and to the media that we have at home
now do you see a bigger trend being
content going from the web to TV or TV
to the web I think the lines are
blurring anyway I think it’s much easier
for content from TV to go to the web
just because the web there’s no limits
and TV is much more limited platform in
terms of just how much time you have
there and the business model
restrictions your raise venture capital
eventually they want to get their money
out who do you see buying a company like
boxing there’s many companies it would
be interested in the value that we’re
building but for me personally and I
think for the rest of the team getting
acquired it’s not something we even
think about we feel great to be in this
point of time that we can make a
difference
