1917 – War against Germany

after an attack by German submarines
that st. three American merchant ships
President Woodrow Wilson requested that
Congress declare war on Germany on april
six 1917 this took place up until this
point Wilson declared that America was
too proud to fight instead insisted on
neutral rights however after that the
Americas contribution of the war was
proved important just by the sheer
amount and the speed of the infantry
arriving in Europe
