congratulations to yovan Austin from
Lawrenceville Georgia who is a randomly
chosen winner of the marshmallow
shooting bow and mallow it’s on its way
welcome to the 9th episode of mind
bender trivia the gameshow that’s merely
an excuse to give away some cool stuff
in this episode I’m giving away three
cool products I got from Wemo that calm
an HD camera with Wi-Fi and night vision
a Wi-Fi connected AC outlet and a Wemo
maker the net cam can stream high-def
video right to your smartphone or tablet
it has a night vision feature that lets
you see in the dark and you can even
push-to-talk and have a two-way
conversation with your kids right from
your phone the Wi-Fi Wemo insight switch
lets you turn electronics on or off from
just about anywhere that can also do a
lot more I hooked one of my Christmas
lights and set them to turn on
automatically at sunset then switch off
automatically at 11:30 p.m.
now our lights are completely automated
and it’ll even keep track of how much
electricity they’re using as well the
Wemo maker is ideal for inventors and
tinkerers because it has a port for
hooking sensors to it so it can do just
about anything you can think up it can
sense anything from moisture or fire to
sound or light and it can even tell if
you left the garage door open then send
you a message letting you know so you
can close it again with the push of a
button on your cell phone I was
impressed that Jason Whitney the
inventor of the maker made a special
trip to my house just to tell me he
included a few Easter eggs for your
tinkerers out there and if the maker can
do even more than advertised but that’s
for us to know and you to find out all
the Wemo devices connect and talk to
each other through your wireless network
router and just for fun I put all three
devices in my workspace and program them
to work as a team now when I walk in the
room the camera senses motion and tells
the maker to power up my workbench the
insight switch turns on a stereo for
background music and my wife can check
in on me through the camera even when
she’s out running errands I got my stuff
directly from Wiimote comm but you’ll
find them at places like Home Depot and
Best Buy as well and I put a link in the
description in case you want to find
them online the devices range from $60
to 150 dollars but in this video I’m
giving three of them away for free all
you have to do to qualify as answer this
