hi I’m Luke helm and I’m an 8th grader
at sunrise milf school in Scottsdale
Arizona this year I won my state
Geography Bee after getting fourth and
sixth grade and second in South grade as
everybody else probably knows it feels
extremely good two-way after two years
of extreme dedication is an extremely
liberating feeling finally winning after
studying atlases having a coach and just
looking through current events every
single day for the past three years as
you can see Arizona’s pretty beautiful
and pretty geographically unique in the
Northeast we have the Painted Desert in
the Petrified Forest the northwest we
have the world famous Grand Canyon and
pretty much in the rest we have the
Sonoran Desert in the Mojave Desert
which are home to the saguaro cacti and
beautiful rock formations like this and
the ones in sedona if I ruled the world
for a day I would intermediate freedom
to third world countries to increase
access to information increase knowledge
and grow democracy through stable and
reliable sources like the BBC and
al-jazeera in the future with my
geographical knowledge on to study
international business with a focus on
emerging markets and get an MBA from
Stanford I’m not staying geography I
like playing soccer listening to world
music like vieux farka toure and
volunteering with the organization to
help settle you on refugees in Phoenix
that’s good my favorite part geographies
current affairs and geopolitics because
they put perspective to just physical
features I think my secret weapon and
then absolutely is my understanding of
geography as a whole and not just places
this is rested having a huge wallpaper
back behind you really opposite
visualizing all the places in the world
and it’s a nice place where I can just
study by myself and make sure I
thoroughly examine all the information I
have to the week before the state be I
had spring break so for probably 14
hours every single day they’ll be
cleaning up I just sat in here and
studied all day long
