Hi there my name’s Tom Dyer I am 2 time world champion 2 time Guinness world record holder
and 12 time UK champion flair bartender we’re here up in Manchester and I’m gonna be making
a mojito using flair bartending now to do this we’re using 360 bullet time where there’s
32 camera’s surrounding me and they’re all taking a picture at the same time so you’re
getting a 360 degree view of the moves that I’m performing now what’s flair may you ask
it’s a style of bartending which involves manipulating the objects maybe even the liquid
to make it a little bit more entertaining to the customer when you’re making a cocktail
I got into flair bartending about 15 years ago when I started working behind the bar
and somebody showed me a couple of different flair moves then I went to see a competition
at the roadhouse grand finals when I saw the professionals doing their thing over there
I wanted to do the same thing I quit university I quit my job and I started to flair and the
rest is history as they say so this shoot came about when I got a phone call many months
ago asking if I wanted to be involved in Jamie Oliver’s Drinks Tube did a screen test then
a few months after that got another phone call asked to come back and we came up with
some ideas and I was told that there was going to be this 360 degree bullet camera super
slow mo camera and I thought the best way to showcase flair so that the people who love
flair get to see it in it’s best possible light and those people who don’t really understand
what’s going on get to see all different angles of how flair works ok so to see me making
a mojito with flair bartending in 360 degree bullet time just click right here!
