it’s a great opportunity to be in front
of you and share my experience of a
better place and how this organization
part bill and some interesting facts
about butterflies we are actually not
aware which happens in our surroundings
so let me just repeat gives you this
organization to you because family the
year 2011 with the aim of observing the
butterflies of western dance as we all
know in the recent years we have seen a
drastic decline about high population so
there are the reasons why we have seen a
defense of course the native threat
might be the destruction of inhabited by
destroying the forests we destroying the
home of the belfry
so then upward the use of pesticides to
deal with our perfected by flies and
some natural course my forest fire and
my called the butterfly population in
the area so they tips of conserving the
better place and also the intention of
educating people about butterflies we
taught dedicating about seven acres of
land for the marketplace you see the
natural moon for the sea so so far they
are recorded 136 pieces over the place
in the area and Ottawa let’s enlarge you
on the other hand 39 species and already
Haiti the 4,200 so had some videos which
we exclusively taken from the park and
let me assure you that we use and also
it’s been about butterfly behaviour and
some interesting facts about butterflies
which will reveal to this video let us
start the video so it all starts to the
courtship this week even for the
butterfly is there okay where the male
in the morning continuously the Spain in
front of the TV reconsider female is
sitting there and the name is
continuously displayed okay
he tries his best to
we can also see entitled his skills with
leaders chemical signals but we don’t
want the impress and drag like the
cleaning
so she’s interested you can see the male
the female is also drying in the
Portuguese me
okay can see in the next video again she
again ships there and he does his best
and he failure she feels you feel that
she’s not anyone interested so normally
if the courtship displays successful
okay there will be ready taking his and
the female will go in search of the
coastline so let us see another
courtship display of the southern
burning which is the largest of all the
mr slide you’ll see the male
continuously it is paying and please
she’s watching a show and finally she is
the one who is going to decide whether
we accept or not depending on Wanda
center the main this so let us for the
next part okay so as I’ve mentioned
earlier if the virtue pitch today is
successful then normally the how many
dates film the female will go in certain
post onto the edge so every butterfly
upon its own post on two days the
logistics about the buspar
the very specific so if you remove any
capital from its host you will buy your
cup angle but it will not touch any
other leaf so the female will go in
search of the most not chilly in the red
suffice but in this case it is immediate
the female imminent laying its one of
nine colors cassia cassia akka so you
can see in the video there how it lays
the X so that is late I hope all of you
gets in the egg right this one so the
egg is needed here also if I want sure
because this is not working inside so
that is laid out of the leaf here you
can see in the next video again this is
the premium for the morning so you can
see the egg being in it right so that is
the act that is the right from the
butterfly starts so within about four to
five days
the caterpillar will come out of it it
will start feeding upon the actual first
okay this is about what happens in the
life of the caterpillar in fact if it’s
for the actual first which is very
nutritious meal for the caterpillar and
then once it will it goes it will go in
search of the high drop population so
this is the subtle body caterpillar
this fully grown now this establish to
go for the revision process leaders
fought for the Hydra population so once
it finds a hideout it goes to the be
patient statements this forward had
video and see that the patient’s kimbap
just at the top and then test skill is
shattered and it is thrown on so this is
another amazing thing happening in the
life cycle of the battlefield
okay very usual completely changes you
can see the skin shutting at the top
actually up training and the skin along
with the mandibles are thrown okay
because the mandibles are of no use for
the butterfly butterfly is going to get
its robo cheese but that’s what it’s
like so the longer the skin that is
thrown off and you can see that before
issue enough so this is nothing but more
tea shedding of the skin with the
butterfly goes to privation stage so
once it reaches the pupil stage then
choose that the skin also will be thrown
off because if the skin is left back
then you can grab the edge of many paths
and invest and the pancetta grass would
come and age for the body of the Kapiti
pupae and i kill it so it has to throw
away that skin so let us help you so you
can see this view pirate is you know it
is about almost 15 dance eaters from the
pupa so normally the emergence of the
pupa sorry emergence of the butterfly
from the pupa
my voluntary process the butterfly
decides depending upon the primary
conditions outside the conditions are
not favorable it can stay there in
center people for months together so you
can see a day before the emergence the
pupa actually becomes transparent and
the butterfly is visible through the
people so that’s an indication the next
day the butterfly is going to pop out of
the to go you can see in the video how
the butterfly
and it is out of them do my push at the
crater is open and this is the time and
inside blood truth to the needs of the
veins and it means has to be hardened so
you can see the occlusion of the common
crossbar a player so it pushes itself
with force or the presence you can see
the head coming out first they’ll need
slowly moving its first leg and leaving
it on the peak and that is liquid above
completely more of the pupae and puts
onto the knee a very nice dish you can
see that so this is the time when the
butterfly is very vulnerable to attack
from predators any predators – idiot
acted as it is not even to fly so but
fortunately for this butterfly it is
poisonous okay it won’t it won’t be
attacked by any predators especially the
birds
okay many spiders it doesn’t matter
birdsong you own it exits the poisonous
far away so why do they become poisonous
that’s because during the capitalist
defeat upon the postplanner it is
poisonous that is that difference we can
see
so whatever talks to you what is shown
in a postman and invite with catalogs
mister but by unpalatable
the birds tend to avoid such place so we
will take about another one to to ask
for links to completely dry and then for
the butterfly to take its first mate you
can see in the next video how the
southern birdie will take its facility
and see the people below their little
trusty emerges Arthur Burney the largest
of all the Indian butterflies okay we
have over 1,200 species of butterflies
in India and southern burning is the
largest Emma
all of them so this butterfly okay you
can see how beautiful the metallic shine
on the butterflies
this is an antenna to listen that’s the
name is Mohamed I met people which is
found only in the sonars it was also
rated as a third Beautiful by winter
bleep were written the field guide and
product my opinion region so and this
look this is on to the logo of the
butterfly park ok the manatee
corporality send any to lesson touch let
us see this was taken in a slow-motion
you know can this is the black Raja
so the name is Raja they’ll they’ll
about the field corn tons okay they feed
upon your carnivorous so this is
all their favorite food the Tanya are
the black tiger but in this case it is
feeding upon a rotten blame next this is
the most bitter of the body battle you
can see how the
using its proboscis in order to sit the
liquid you can also see the compound
eyes of the butterfly disease they want
then I’ll see how he is producing then
let’s propose very person it is kind of
meaty to self so this you can see an
clear case of attack form of bird you
can see the whole the believes Tori them
like bird has a tactic then you skip the
bird attacks lucky so one important for
butterflies in nature is that they form
a part of the food web they become food
for predators like birds they might use
desserts Fox the many predators which
are dependent upon the butterflies and
other insects for their survival
so that’s how many importance if I’m
talking about the second part is they
help in pollination of course the bees
are the major pollinators very in
something for either the vegetables or
fruits that’s because of the bees a
butterfly switched pollinating helps in
the production of fruits and seeds so if
these creatures vanished from the earth
ok we are also we do follow them some so
it’s high time we think about butterfly
of reconciliation and cancel them for
future generation and for us to live so
by observing butterflies in fact with
answering the manager so let us go to
the next video now so it is here it is
so this is the ultimate butterfly there
are interesting species the upper side
looks like almost like a leaf but if you
look at the valley underside which light
almost ready to get after said you can
see how beautiful the tawny color is
okay so I just want that beautiful two
on each other and the sipping nectar
from the fly so underside the deep like
thing it is a defense mechanism to
escape from predators but upper side is
very striking and beautiful and this
perfectly x1 plant called a
so this butterfly was videographed in
the month of august last year a very
beautiful and bold butterfly I call it
as a world butterfly because you’re
going to see why why it is actually
called as the world butterfly so you can
see how beautiful the wing pattern ease
and this is also a rare butterfly and
you can see the sipping liquid from the
rocking Jackson kill the unique
gratified these Weaver hands are very
aggressive they are known to kill
butterflies they calculus and you know
they are known to eat you know also
attack some fresh people sometimes and
fresh DMS butterflies many a times so
there’s something interesting to be told
if you know these ants actually I’m
going to attack any butterflies any
calculus except the Wesleyan a family
there are 26 families of our place but
one family of butterfly hurts but then a
really interesting to mayority
relationship so the same time you saw
attack the living wrong I’m going to
protect this caterpillar of the white
lily family okay so this is the capital
of what you’re seeing here so this is
the capital of the butterfly for this
group blue and you can see this video of
undescore he actually and you answer
patterning near the cafeteria so instead
of attacking the ants actually protect
the camera so again there are two
reasons why these acts to protect the
capital instead of attacking them and
normally love switch technicians so the
capital er is known to produce this
tentative secretion in 11 segments which
is given to the and the protection fee
and in return the ants protect the
curriculum they remain very loyal to the
capitalist a protective even will
people stitch that they don’t get
anything back he didn’t feel the product
manager go so that’s the very
interesting symbiotic relationship so
there is another reason why that ants
protect that is before the caterpillar
is known to reduce few moose and its
chemical signals similar to the film was
released by the larvae of thanks so the
capital computer – the ants thinking
capital has a feeling that it’s the
calculate is its own lava and it is
known to tally inside the act as a basis
and in 200 pursue security
so this is how the caterpillar pulsar
and so and then you can see the radius
accretion being given to the and the
protection fee this particular and is
communicating with the capitulum
and asking for gonna give you secretion
so that’s a very interesting symbiotic
relationship scene between butterflies
and and we in the next video so this is
the third birdie the largest of all the
Indian butterflies what you saw the
freshly accrues Android flight and the
next video in the next video this is
your hummingbird be much ok which looks
like a bird actually but they fly
without it the monster knocked out and
have it but this is an exceptional case
they play so butterflies also exhibit
elderly’s behavior you can see the great
kite
changing here is the main author of me
so they also did it a little with some
of the species by grey pansies so you
can see the main changes till they with
a few minutes so that’s pretty common
you know even if any test process a
butterfly sitting as a washed-out
megawatt shot any responses can be
change in it
he doesn’t mind when it is a bird or a
human being also the gold would actually
turn back
but it doesn’t matter further you know
till today remain on so you’ve seen this
a bunch of butterflies you know they’re
actually sucking out white red red from
the plan so this is a common sight in
the month of August and September in the
world Fred pop so it’s a lot of them
gather together from outright sleeping
only main ceremony this occurs even in
the next video so any myth
butterflies are evolving this is so so I
mentioned that one importance of
butterflies a teacher is they form part
of the footwell so here’s a few examples
through the videos for you there’s a
plane I’d be sitting on the acne month
of ha waiting patiently for the
butterfly to come I hope you can see
this pain and this year so this is the
pavements it Mathis it meets for the
butterflies okay you can see there’s a
great acts like this ready to sit on
Rodney McCullough and you can see how it
it iced lucky the butterfly skips not
all the time all the bird flies already
you can see in the next video
the praying mantis had already made the
kill and it is eating the gray type life
so this is one importance okay moving to
the next video I’ll show you the crab
spider in between our torso looks at my
camera so this is the next video so you
can see a crab spider waiting patiently
and sitting in the flagger so this is a
very well common fish and unfortunately
the bird fell for blood we said it is
not able to detect this ambush predator
like a motionless third inning human
it’s stunningly looking at her watching
the butterfly not giving any moment and
very patiently for the butterfly be
closely approach it very patient here it
goes and that’s like that
so the insect this fast part is going to
suck the liquid from the insect that
from the butterfly and one leave it dry
actions okay so this is these are some
example how a thumbs up part of the foot
bed let us see the last video I should
be darkened I got flying it in after it
is natural so I was talking about you
know how bold some of the bad weather
the blue no MOFs is you know known to
defend itself so it I can show you in
the video it actually you know there’s
an ant attacks if you know so the ants
are normally no but I can you see that
and as far the closest of the butterfly
here and it is trying to bring it down
slightly for the proboscis these are
very aggressive and not wanna leave it
so easy the guna doesn’t like it
actually gives the and it takes that it
isn’t that interesting to note this
behavior a very old one in fact so this
is why I appointed as a Woodman so this
is a logo of the butterfly park here the
graphic imitation of the Mahabharat
recovered you saw in the video which was
the third beautiful butterfly poor
little bit so it is any to mention
that’s the organization cited in the
year 2011 we put host plants nightly
plants you know I told there are four
stages in the life cycle red butterfly
and we have hands of the times wash
plants we are putting more from gaining
more Muslims for the verify population
to sustain and that they put a lot of
native plants at the butterfly is
naturally hit attractive so we are the
next slide so this is how Albert white
park looks to natural habitat for gotta
face without any plastic modification is
being done all the Navy comes are intact
so we conduct awareness program every
year for students that’s the three
awareness program what we come back
every year and we we also taken in the
field with among the volunteers to get
no practical exposed outside in
Disneyland forever
no so that the end of a generation
you’ll understand butterflies in nature
better so if you are talking about
butterflies and watch they would be
wrong with odd and let me talk so
normally that they’ve acted like that
you pull so majority of them are monster
there are some bad faith also get
attracted majority of the master
nocturne happy since I am talking about
the defensive support butterflies and
moths if you look at that you know the
butterfly is swollen and an apparent
case of much they have a point in
antennae so this is a butterfly how much
how many of you seen is the perfect
friend much no one
yes that is a butterfly of course you
can see the things weren’t any
and Andy Knightley stolen at the tip so
we are recorded so far
136 pieces of butterflies initially
so you can see the common move these are
the photos which have been taken from
the butterfly park is the common rose
for a flight did you saw the emergence
of the – my family so this is the making
of the crimson rose this is the largest
of all the universe place we can see the
female up there in the mail so they
needed sexual dimorphism the male and
female have different wing patterns some
butterflies have different wing patterns
so you can easily identify in the field
but some they have similar beam pattern
so you might not be able to distinguish
them in the field so this is a blue
moment but the plane is mud parting
actually let’s see the Prabhu’s is
touching the ground and it is dipping
nutrients from the red soil so
butterflies also get attracted to wet
soil at this because the sky constitute
of Insolia meaning which is a very
necessary for the buds right so this is
a site title cruiser so these are some
this is slipper wait right here consider
a quarter square plate but very common
in the flight path this is mainly
so if we already discuss about this so
butter plays are also a good indicator
the indicator reaches our ecological
system so if you have good number of
magnetic rocks in the area that’s an
indication that polish please switch so
that means the importance of butterflies
in nature the finish of the presentation
I thank all of you the attack team now
for giving me such a great opportunity
to be in front of you thank you
[Applause] [Music]
